First off, two rounds, don't make it right. A smaller square table would contrast much better, but I'd make that a reading nook myself. A chair, side table and lamp. Cozy corner. The placement of your rugs and the sheer size of them is awkward also. They don't really fit in with the design of the space. Inherently, I think that is the real problem here. You've got craftsman/bungalo decor and a modern loft. The pairing doesn't work. Mid century or sparse and modern are going to do this space much more justice. Working Around a Concrete Column? Additionally, avoid the grocery store altogether. If you live in a metropolitan area, or even not these days, more than likely you've got a farmers market or a creamery somewhere in town. Even in the dead of winter, here in Seattle, we've still got 2 to 3 farmers markets going on (with dozens in the warmer months). I buy all my eggs from a local producer and know from talking to them these eggs are 1 to 3 days old. We've also got a creamery in Pike's Place Market that has dozens of varieties of eggs (quail, duck, goose, chicken, etc. etc) and they are all local and treated well. My favourite has been a vintage Hermes Rocket typewriter that I got at an estate sale for $5.00. It's the deal of the century. I've looked it up on ebay and it goes for anywhere in the $275 to $450 range when selling. What's Your Favorite Secondhand Find? | Apartment Therapy Los Angeles |

Wow, that desk area is just a nightmare. First, it just looks cheap and used in comparison to the new white shelves. Like they started a project and ran out of money and ideas to finish it. Why would you build such nice shelves and then put that mess of mish mash in the middle of it? How did this become a feature on this site. It looks like a college kids dorm room in the middle of nice living room. Just doesn't work at all. Apartment Therapy Los Angeles | Before After: Cate's Colorful Home Office |

mlle...I'd say the same thing about pumpkin. I've had HUGE success with butternut squash though. I roast a butternut squash in a little brown sugar, butter and orange juice mix and then puree it and substitute it for pumpkin puree and it's amazing. I've had people who swear they hate pumpkin pie go back for a second piece when I swapped in the butternut squash. Oh my gosh, I have that pan and it's amazing. You really have to use it for a simpler bundt though, as if it's filled or has goodies in it, they get stuck in the crevices and really can make a mess of the cake. Apartment Therapy The Kitchn | What Is Your Favorite Bundt Cake Recipe? |

Her stuff is nice, but almost freakishly in the same tone and colour scheme as Matte Stephens. The similarities are a little too striking for my tastes. When I saw that first print, I thought it was a new work of his. Apartment Therapy San Francisco | Lovely Prints by Freya |

You've got a humidity problem, an excess moisture problem, and you're going to take the tissue out of the box and leave it on a shelf, unprotected, to soak up all the excess moisture in the air? Hmm, something just doesn't 'feel' right, as in that tissue is going to be ruined within a few days due to moisture. That just doesn't make sense. Frankly, instead of buying all new linens and such for this bathroom to try and find things that dry quicker, why not invest in a dehumidifier? That way you also combat any damage that may be done to walls and ceiling in the process. That's what I did with my ventilation free bathroom and it works like a charm. Well, frankly, the shade they've got here is less than desirable, but I could see a multitude of design options for this project. I'm thinking a longer, triangular design for my hall light fixture. The bamboo needs some cleaning up too, to make it look more 'finished'. Apartment Therapy Re-Nest | Hot or Not? Shopping Bag Lampshade Natural Home magazine |

This is hysterical. Apparently The Denver Post has no concept of what carpaccio is or just didn't bother to look it up. Carpaccio means raw. Traditionally, it's meat or veal or tuna. Therefore a beet carpaccio dish would be just that, raw beets. These beets are cooked for 45 minutes. Nothing raw about them. This is not a beet carpaccio. I have made beet carpaccio, and you use a very thin, delicate slice of beet to make your dish. You certainly don't cook it for 45 minutes.
