Yes! I love the MCM furniture in the craftsman setting -- who'd've thunk it would work so well -- they achieve a great balance together. I love how spare the things are -- gives an airy yet substantial feel. Very funny interview -- great tour! (Also, not so heavy on the Stuff Close Ups which makes it much more enjoyable viewing!). Thanks for sharing the home with us!

I dunno. The Bloomsbury one seems much less bad, but maybe b/c it's out of focus? What will these kids do to rebel if they're encouraged to scribble on the furniture?? Sheesh.

That painting of the fish looks amazing.

The write up is really interesting -- the process of adding a basement was great to read. But the photos are mostly of stuff -- I don't get a sense of the flow of the home. The photos make it look more like a shop than a house. I wish I could see some of the rooms in whole and how they relate to each other.

It looks like an office -- my office to be precise! I love the idea of tacking white fabric to the walls -- can't wait to see what you wind up doing. This will be a great before and after!

This is such a great post. The marketing departments out there in the world thrive on selling us stuff we don't need to be people we aren't, whether it's house stuff, clothing, even food (fancy food). They have gazillions in advertising dollars and a stable of psychologists trying to convince us at every turn, but if we can remember who we really are, we have a chance at not being scammed into buying junk we don't need.
