Chiming in to get on the AVG bandwagon.

Apartment Therapy - Good Question: Norton vs. McAfee?

I've heard mixed reviews... some hated it and some liked it.

dslreports.com might have some reviews in your area worth checking out.

Also of note is that Speakeasy(.net) can often provide DSL without requiring a land line if you're in the right area. That's what I have, and it's quite good.

People use umbrellas, just not very often.

It's because a lot of times are rains are just drizzles.

The Xbox has been reviewed numerous times elsewhere, so what is the purpose of reviewing it here now?

If you choose me, I will do my best to prove it's relevance via a fresh angle... approaching the review from a home design standpoint.

Best of all, if you pick me, I will sell my existing xbox and give the money to a charity of AT's choice. I don't need two xbox's, even if I would like this free upgrade. :)

In closing I'd like to say: NO WHAMMIES, NO WHAMMIES, NO WHAMMIES, STOP!

Licnell,

I'm betting that table is vintage as I just inherited the exact one (but with a different colored fabric on the seat) from my grandmother. I'm pretty sure it's forty years old, though I can't think manufacturers name at the moment.

Ducati... if you like Facebook for networking professionally you should really check out Linked in (www.linkedin.com). It's layout is better suited for such a task imo.

Just be careful the moss doesn't take everything over!

If you'd like, you can have the moss from my back yard, trust me when I say: It's very hearty! :)

Just chiming into say the the Sennheiser PX100 is indeed wonderful... I use mine with my DS and mp3 player... they're especially nice when travelling as they can put out good sound, but are comfortable for long wears.

You can find them on sale on Amazon or Ebay for pretty cheap too!

I'm glad to hear some bannings occurred. Honestly, it was getting to the point where I didn't want to read any comments because there was bound to be a troll or two shitting everything up.

That is such an awesome idea considering that actually getting solar panels for a home can cost $5-10k. This makes it quite a bite more obtainable for everyone.

Actually planning for something to be obsolete sucks, but at least in this day of ebay/craigslist/goodwill things are getting reused and (hopefully) staying out of landfills.

My best "electronic" that has lasted way longer than I ever thought it would is a toaster I bought at Goodwill for $2 in 2000. Seven years later and it's still going strong!

Something that didn't last as long as I thought it would though... My whirlpool dishwasher. True, I didn't buy it, but when it broke and I pulled it out I realized that it was only two years old (datestamp). It hadn't worked well for a year of that time, and now it's at the dump (though at least it'll be recycled).

Wow that yard is awesome. It's pretty much exactly how I'd like my yard to look... but man the weeds are making things difficult! :D

I bet that skylight is super nice to have during the winter :)

That's pretty much a huge overgeneralization and is overlooking the fact that when Facebook first launched it was "students only" as in you had to be in college or earlier... Of course that's going to skew the demographic!

Comcast can be hit or miss. In highly populous areas around here (Seattle) it's generally a miss as they seem to either stack too many people up on equipment or are just unable to find faulty equipment in their network. This of course isn't even mentioning the price (which is high for a mediocre service).

For now Speakeasy is what the serious Seattle Internet user gets, but we'll see how long that lasts now that Best Buy has bought them out.
