Wow, a $500 Anthropologie hanging chair! I definitely believe in the power of thrift– but looks like you might have splurged a bit! (Or just got lucky and found it second-hand.)

It's all fun and games and quaint photos until someone hangs up an entire line of still-dirty drawers by your balcony.

It's all fun and games until the dog gets swallowed up by the stairs. It looks interesting, but I can't imagine having guests over. Recall a time when having to push by someone in the kitchen or even public transportation has been, at best, mildly irritating, then multiply by a thousand.

I'd love to see some places that have actually made the modern, ugly, ubiquitous parquet work (you know the one I mean http://www.canfloor.com/pics/parquet2.jpg).

Assuming it's even possible. I've got a double-whammy: parquet floors and popcorn ceilings. Not sure which is worse, or worth replacing.

Looks interesting. Except that on the first page there's a photo of a half-naked, very thin woman with a note that says 'Probably the perfect body'... will see if I can use the site while sidestepping the thinspiration enthusiasts.

What kind of garlic do you have growing, just a clove (or more)? I've been thinking of growing some on my balcony but wasn't sure it would work in a container.

Not my personal style, but nice to see a break from mid-century modern! Plus you're right, it does feel like a house – must be all the light!

Gorgeous! Plus, unlike some other entries, it looks like someone (with a personality) actually lives here, comfortably!

It's a shame how some college students live – a few vintage pieces cost the same as Ikea furniture and a Bob Marley poster, kids!

I've given up on orchids after killing at least half a dozen of them, one by one. Like another commenter, I've even managed to kill some mythically immortal pothos (I think I overwatered them).

I quite like the measuring cups, but don't really see the Rachel Bilson connection. Not sure what sort of demographic she courts (or even what she's done after The O.C.) but a brief Google Image Search says she'd be better off with a line of dresses/leggings at Target – I don't even mean that to be nasty, I love Target! I just don't think most people say 'Huh, that girl from the OC is wearing a cute bag in that paparazzi pic. I wonder if she has a line of peacock-shaped tea kettles.'

It's gorgeous, undeniably, but I've got to agree that similar photos would have helped me appreciate it more (it's a bit like a diet ad with a fuzzy shot of an overweight guy in a sweatsuit before, and then after with his hair cut, teeth whitened, etc.)

And Hudson's Bay blankets can be had for a little less than their huge retail price – secondhand on eBay, and even at the Bay itself, on sale, occasionally.
