I have brick walls in my bedroom and love them! Initially I didn't know how I could soften them up without painting them white, but I found these gorgeous lace window treatments that add a little bit of sweetness to the rawness. Great post! I have a project I am currently working on with a large 7 foot, east facing window, with arched tops that was completely off center on the headboard wall. The only way to make this work was to cheat the window. We bought a double curtain rod that is 110" and centered it on the wall, giving us 15" on both sides. We layered the window treatments so the decorative panels could be completely closed creating a gorgeous backdrop for the bed. It is layered over linen sheers so when the decorative panels are open you still get great light and are able to hide the true size and awkwardness of the window. I think the window cheat is a great trick! Thanks AT for sharing! Best Tip For Dealing With An Oddly Placed Window | Apartment Therapy Los Angeles |

It's so sculptural I'm all about turning it into a work of art. Painting it some gorgeous french gray color and having an artist illustrate something loose with bits of color on it and do the underneath in gold leaf:-) Have fun! Apartment Therapy Boston | Help!
