I like it a lot but really dislike the name. I love that I can read it in another country without having to go through the convoluted efforts to get a copy!

Is it common or acceptable??? Seriously, just do whatever the heck you want! It is your house after all....

I think it looks fine as is but, if you want colour, I am voting soft gray blue or sage green if you repaint. But, some large artwork with a pop of orange or red or yellow might do instead and save you money and hassle. I am seeing clean lined white dining furniture and a large print on the wall - maybe a vintage poster. Love the dark wood floors.

Beautiful job! Like a few others, I wouldn't hesitate to either stain dark brown or paint the hutch and the stair rail. Can't wait to see the next lot of pictures! I love that this 'before' and 'after' didn't involve a very expensive total kitchen re-fit.

I love it but, as with others, it looks like a great DIY not really something for a Design Showcase. Great work though! By the way, those wheels are plenty big enough to roll pretty easily on carpet I am sure.

I was thinking you could criss cross rope across the ceiling from the beams, wind with fairy lights and hang the round paper lanterns. My initial thought was to drape fabric everywhere but, really, to cover the walls with fabric would require an enormous amount of fabric so probably not that practical. I agree with the others about trying to use alternative lighting. Can't wait to see the final result! Keep us posted.

I hate to be picky but that is not a 'makeover' that is a full reno. Heck, I could have a perfect looking bathroom as well if I could gut a space and afford to buy everything from scratch to get the exact look I want. Don't get me wrong, I love the finished bathroom but I don't think it is that 'amazing' - plenty of people do great bathroom renovations. Getting that sort of look using what is there would have been amazing.
