Red, orange, lime, teal, pink, purple accents ... I can see any (but not all) of them working with either the icy or warm color scheme. I like this low-key style. Personally, I can do without all the tinsel, fake snow and garish x-mas stuff that people think is festive. Besides, this eco-conscious style seems like a better fit in this downbeat economy.... Love it. I've been thinking of painting one wall in our bedroom a pale, brownish pink. The other three walls and bedding etc. are in tans and cafe au lait colors. My favorite is this Alessi trivet that looks like a strand of jacks. I grew up in a no-shoe household, and think it's a great way to keep germs and dirt at bay... I'm not a fan of pink rooms, in general, but I'm starting to see more that I like... Here are a few other rooms on Opaline that I liked... These plates are also up on Nook today, along with a lot of other (expensive) gold and white porcelain. I'm with the others who are leaning towards gray. Like your boyfriend, I favor reds/bricks, but I've painted rooms in Ben Moore's Palladian Blue and Atmospheric, and they look great.
