I have to agree with the other posters who found this inedible/ burnt. We had to throw it out. This recipe is a gamble.

Here's a round-up of several fainting couches, ranging from high to low prices.

Red, orange, lime, teal, pink, purple accents ... I can see any (but not all) of them working with either the icy or warm color scheme.

I'd use throws, vases, etc. to add pops of color as trends/my moods change. (I never realized how neutral lgt. turquoise could be!)

I like this low-key style. Personally, I can do without all the tinsel, fake snow and garish x-mas stuff that people think is festive. Besides, this eco-conscious style seems like a better fit in this downbeat economy....

Love it.
I've been thinking of painting one wall in our bedroom a pale, brownish pink. The other three walls and bedding etc. are in tans and cafe au lait colors. These pix just pushed me over the top!

My favorite is this Alessi trivet that looks like a strand of jacks. You toss on the table (just like a handful of jacks) when you use it and hang it like jewelry from a pot rack when you don't.

I grew up in a no-shoe household, and think it's a great way to keep germs and dirt at bay... I also have friends who insist on no-shoes policy, and keep a basket of Land's End slippers handy for anyone who gets, um, cold feet. Go for it!

Great finds... but I can't find the 'Red Hot Shop' on Target's website...
I linked to each item just fine, but does anyone know if there's a direct link to the shop? Thanks!

I'm not a fan of pink rooms, in general, but I'm starting to see more that I like...
Here are a few other rooms on Opaline that I liked... I thought I'd hate hot pink, but Betsey Johnson's house makes it look tolerable.

Nice round-up! I would actually put out almost all of these without cringing.

These plates are also up on Nook today, along with a lot of other (expensive) gold and white porcelain. The combo is pretty, but it doesn't come cheap.

A while back, Nook did a good round-up of modern shower curtains.

Great idea!

I can also see using the Cavallini paper with butterflies to create something similar to Fornasetti's famous butterfly tables

Any advice (in a future article) on caring for herbs during the colder months? Mine always seem to die when I bring them inside after the weather turns.

The guy with a ship in his hair is remarkably similar to this one of Marie Antoinette (who also has a ship in her hair)...

Is there some bizarre new trend we should know about?

I'm with the others who are leaning towards gray.

Like your boyfriend, I favor reds/bricks, but I've painted rooms in Ben Moore's Palladian Blue and Atmospheric, and they look great. They coordinate with earth colors, as well as whites, creams, grays and warm colors. Good luck!
