These are beautiful! But, what are they supposed to make me want to buy? :)

Dear AT--I miss the old Cure! Can't you do a combo? Or do the old one in the spring? I know I can do it by myself but it's less fun that way.

Also...are you just reusing all the same videos as last year?

If you really love it, you could always go ahead and move into the finished upstairs part and renovate chunks of the bottom as you are able to. Good luck!

This is brilliant! I was just about to order one when I realized there are actually too few outlets in my apartment for it to even help--all the outlets are in weird corners and not easily accessible. Sigh.

I would add doing the dishes daily! This is a tough one for me and my boyfriend on work nights, because once we sit down, we sometimes don't make it back up except to go to bed...but we always regret it the next day when it's time to cook and all the pans are dirty.

Also, does anyone else have a hard time "cleaning as you go" while cooking? I like me food super fresh and hot, so that's not a good time, and during the week I try to cook quick meals that sautee up fast, so there's no down time for me to wash while stuff is in the pan.

My time always gets away from me in the mornings! But I PREFER to start my days off with a short jog/run, then a simple breakfast, a book, some good music, and some petting of the cat.

Cute color! It would pop more if you painted the painted the details a contrasting color--maybe a nice bright white or cream. This would look great on the hardware too.

I have to say I love it. Probably not great for property value on the block--but that's not saying much these days.

I usually leave the skin on when I slice it. Leave the pit in one half--this will be the half you save. Supposedly the pit helps keep it fresh. Wrap it tightly in foil and refrigerate. This has always worked well for me on the rare occasion half of an avocado survives my voracious appetite for avocados. Not the most environmentally friendly though.

CocoChic, I'm in the same boat as you. We have to move as our landlord is selling the building. We've only live in this apartment for 8 months (we're getting kicked off our lease early), and it will be my FIFTH apartment in 3 years. Sad face. Unfortunately we weren't able to keep our boxes from our last move, as we had no storage space, but my boyfriend always gets these great collapsible boxes from work deliveries. And I do have one giant bag filled with old newspaper and bubble wrap. The only good things about moving: the chance to weed out unused stuff and redecorate!

I second Charlene's idea. Nice table.

On a completely unrelated note, does anyone know what happened to the Spring Cure this year? Clearly at this point it's not happening, but was there ever a post about it? I wrote in to the staff a couple times and never got a response. Anyone have news?

I only have two recipes in all of my cookbooks that use weight measurements instead of volume! I picked up a vintage scale for cheap at Goodwill, but other than those two recipes (which I do make often, so it was worth it), I don't know what to use it for.

It's so beautiful! I would argue with the author of the (Covet Garden) article though, and say that it is most definitely nostalgic!

These have been around in Germany for decades! My mom has a bunch of cute mesh ones in different colors, they fold up or down like a little umbrella. So clever!
