Yes!! We painted our twin boys' room (they're now 17 months old today) in "Papaya" by Sherwin Williams. We have fantastic bright and soft greens accents - it looks fabulous. I can't figure out how to attach a picture, though...

How about an old fashioned (and brief) Jazzercise class? Put on some fun music and have the kids do fun things, like touch their toes, lunges, shake their booties, etc. I'm remembering how much fun "doing the car wash" was when my mom and I would do Jazzercise at home when I was a kid...

Okay, the pancakes are cool and fun - make them or don't, each to his own. But my fave in this comment thread is jensational talking about "scrambling a smurf" - as a child of the 80s myself, I love this! Didn't we all used to say "gag me with a smurf"?

Whether this doll shows that breastfeeding is the best way to go or not is irrelevant, in my opinion. The fact that we're coding little girls to be mothers from such a young age is appalling. Girls need to grow up to make the decision on their own to be mothers and to breastfeed should they decide to do so. It's one thing to play with dolls - when I grew up, my Barbies slept next to my Star Wars figures - but when we're over-emphasizing reproductive abilities in little girls, it's gone too far. This is just one further step in the "Be Like Mommy" line of toys, which always focuses on taking care of children, grocery shopping, and cleaning. Many new *adult* mothers have enough pressure to breastfeed and adding that coded expectation in a 5 year old is awful.
