two words: DARK MAGIC. most of the k-cup flavors are reminiscent of puddle water, but 'dark magic' is really good + actually tastes like real coffee. i love my keurig. K-Cups and Coffee Pod Systems: Love Them or No, Thanks? |

you should not be worried about affecting the value of the chairs at all. i work for a residential design firm in NY and we buy *real* museum pieces for clients (sorry but this chair is definitely not) and they are always restored before sale. anyone that thinks that leaving crappy paint chips and rust etc intact on midcentury furniture watches too much antiques roadshow. the artist above the sofa is wayne thiebaud, though i doubt that is an original..anyone that could afford to buy a thiebaud painting (worth millions) would not be living in a 390 square foot apartment... Lissa's Super-Small Secluded Haven House Tour |

this is one of the first house tours in a while that i have actually found to be inspiring. never in a million years would i ever expect to like trim painted orange...but somehow it just works here, amazingly so. the furnishings, details and artwork are also surprising and fantastic. thank you AT for featuring a dynamic and sophisticated house. these are very cool/creepy. however i have to agree with erik that it's a bit of a stretch to claim a software defect as one's own creative expression. screen shots do not an artist make. i would be much more impressed if valla had been inspired by the google earth 'glitch', then created these distorted images himself from photographs he had actually taken. the structure of the house is gorgeous and i love the juxtaposition between the classical details and the modern furnishings/lighting. also the art is fantastic! to be completely honest, some of the areas did strike me as a bit 'college-dormy', such as the desk area, the bedroom (is that just a mattress on the floor??) and the kitchen cabinets (messy). but as others have commented it is refreshing to see a house that isn't so 'styled' and is a little more real. the bookcases are lovely but a little out of place in a dining room. i too, preferred the simplicity an lightness of the original photo. thumbs up on the new light fixture though. Before & After: Inon's "Cozified" Dining Room Reader Project |

Made this last night for dinner (used a regular lemon and my grocery store only had bone-in chicken thighs with skin so removed them myself). It came out great! My husband, who has never been a fan of fennel, commented that it was much more flavorful with the lemon + garlic than previous times I have made it. And the chicken was also moist and flavorful. I served it with basmati rice and we had a nice mineral-y chardonnay which really complemented the dish. Not to mention while it is cooking it makes your house smell amazing. :) Recipe: Roasted Chicken Thighs with Fennel & Lemon |
