This post makes it sound way more complicated than it has to be. I sold my iPad(1) right before Christmas on ebay for $400. And Apple was not still carrying it at the time. It was really easy and I was surprised that anyone would pay that much for a used first generation rather than shell out an extra $100 for a new iPad2. (Is it collectible or something?) Regardless, it was extremely easy and quick. I actually think it's easier to sell on ebay (skip craigslist only because people try to haggle) than to sell to a friend or co-worker, where you might feel obligated to sell for less. My first thought as far as saturated colors go, is a peacock blue. I'm not exactly sure how it would look with your red dining room, but it looks like it would complement your ceramic tiles nicely. I wouldn't suggest a backsplash, especially yet another stone or tile. There is enough going on now. What Next For This Move-in-Ready Kitchen? Good Questions |

I definitely agree with the list, especially Hollywood Regency. Personally, I can't stand the look. That said, besides being unimaginative, any look/era that's overdone ends up looking cheap and staged, rather than personable and livable. While I appreciate this piece from Elle Decor, I have to say I wouldn't mind seeing Elle Decor itself dead and buried. They've been guilty of propagating the precious, staged, and unlivable look for a long long time. Been There, Done That: Designers Weigh In On "Worst Trends" Elle Decor |

Your title and post implies that these bed styles are the best choice for the given wallpapers, but you are not explaining why these bed styles and wallpapers are a perfect match; just merely showing nice photographs. On the last few posts you begin to touch on the why, but the first posts give no indication of what makes these beds and wallpapers a "perfect match". It's not good enough to say, "they just do," and it's not good enough to post pretty pictures. As a designer I want you to support your assertions. (I don't necessarily disagree with you, I'm just looking for more depth). Happy Couples: Perfect Bed & Wallpaper Pairings |

If this company was truly green, they would not make their soap with palm oil. The harvesting of palm oil destroys Bornean orangutan habitat. Photo Tour: A Visit to Indigo Wild & Zum |

No no no. I've said it before and I'll say it again. Bar soap is not necessarilly more ecological! Sure packaging and what not, but if you buy a bar soap made with palm oil you are helping destroy precious Bornean Orangutan habitat. These orangutans are higly endangered and need our help. Please avoid palm oil in cosmetics and food. And for that matter, teak furniture...unless it is FSC. Bring Back the Bar: Soap Flakes by Nathalie Stämpfli |

I forgot to add, don't put seating on the sides of the sofa. That does not make for comfortable conversation. That's why I suggest ottomans/bench in front, or if you have enough space, full chairs. Ideas for Living Room Arrangement? Good Questions |

Great space. I say, float the sofa, facing the fireplace. Instead of two chairs and a coffee table, I would use a bench or two ottomans. You can use those pieces as extra seating or as tables. If you have room, place the dining table in front of the double windows. Make it compact with two chairs, and have the extra chairs placed elsewhere, but ready for dinner guests. Maybe get a half sofa/half chaise as your main sofa to keep the room open and uncluttered. @roxy72: I own the Clark sofa from West Elm and I love it. I have a 1 bdr. apt. and it's great for overnight guests. My husband and I also used it when we were in the middle of painting the bedroom. It's comfortable and the neutrality makes it easy to decorate around it. I got it for $999. Sofa Beds: 4 Convenient Convertible Seating Options |

None of these things are trends. Wall decals? I personally don't care for them, but they're not a trend they are just another item to fill wall space. It's like saying art hung on walls is passe. Suzanis? So my grandma had some style sense a couple years out of 50, but now, she better return her rugs and quilts to the middle east. Suzani patterns and Persian rugs/items are part of my cultural heritage, not part of a trend that is defined according to someone's whimsy. Chalkboard walls are practical and utilitarian in many senses. If chalkboard paint is no longer acceptable, when are shower curtains going "out?" Cowhide/animal print: Same basic answer as suzani. It's just a matter of taste. They've always been around, and I never regarded them as trendy or not trendy. And gray...this is the most ridiculous. When is a color out of style? I mean really. I'd like to see blue go out of style. That'll be the day. 5 Supposedly "Tired" Trends We Still Really Like | Apartment Therapy Los Angeles |

Palm oil is not green! Extracting palm oil damages the Rainforest where orangutans, sumatran tigers, asian elephants and sumatran rhinos live, making them all extremely endangered. Please avoid products with palm oil. That goes for food, as well. It is harmful to human health too. Green Cleaning Products Roundup | Apartment Therapy Los Angeles |
