@renni - I want to know the same about the small, cool contest. I am so sad! I ask on the AT facebook page and no one ever answers me. I hope it happens still this year.

It really depends. I think that if you can save up and buy a high quality piece of furniture, go for it. But if you have pets, kids, or a tendency to switch up your decor, you might be better off with a cheaper option. If I had a higher income, no pets, and I didn't go through decor styles like I go through socks, I'd invest in an expensive sofa. Also, I think you have to be careful how much you spend, because trends come and go. Do you want to really spend 8,000 dollars on a sofa only to have it be completely out of style in 5 years? If it's a timeless, classic piece, then by all means - save and buy quality. If you don't have kids and pets to worry about, save and buy quality.

For 'totally broke' this place is totally awesome. Although, I wouldn't classify Anthropologie as an inexpensive place to shop. Y'all might be in a whole different category of broke than I am, because Anthropologie is NOT happening here.
