I have not read all the comments -- so I don't know if this has already been suggested... but I vote lose the current coffee table and use your kids toybox at a table. I found a really cool old trunk that I use as a coffee table now. I installed slow close hinges on the inside so little fingers don't get squished and it's an awesome place to throw all the toys for a quick clean up. Also, weirdly enough... my kids like to sit in there with all their blankets and watch TV.

I don't think your dog looks depressed. In my medical opinion, I think he's just a little confused.

Cracks me up people -- chill -- she's just saying if you have a friend with a kid -- here is a nice meal you can bring them. Obviously ANYONE can eat it. She is just pointing out for those who may not know that often new moms have to navigate one handed. Maybe her title should have been CONSIDERATE COMFORT FOOD FOR AMPUTEES. That would be very exclusive. lol.

My friend always jogs after work. She drives past my house every day on her way home. She used to stop 3x a week to pick up my twins. I'd have them in the stroller and ready to roll. She'd walk and jog around my neighborhood for a good 45 minutes and that was my time to shower, etc. -- it was the best gift ever.

If they are reasonable people -- then you should definitely go with Stephanie's advice from above. If they are not very nice -- then I think you should enroll your children in gymnastics and buy them a drum set. Get those crotchety buggers to move out.

It is funny how that outside praise rings so loudly. The best compliment I've ever gotten about my house actually came from a five year old. He said, "your house is so, soooo comfy." Music to my ears! I honestly can't think of a better compliment than that one!

This is exactly what the bottom of my coat closet looks like! My problem, however... is not clutter... there really isn't anything in that closet that we don't use often -- it's just that we live in an old house with crappy storage and that closet becomes the catch all. ugh.

One more thing... For those of you who think AT censors comments... I really don't think they do that? At least I hope not. Last year I almost made a horrible mistake and painted my house green. I don't know what I was smoking... but I actually thought it would look good. I posted it on AT and people skewered me. It was such a wake up call. I'm soooo glad I didn't do that. Gosh, if AT censored the comments... I really can't imagine what the more severe people had said. It was pretty bad ;)
