I actually think the shoe rack thing is a bit sloppy. Depends on the ladder and shoes, I'd say.

That carpet was hideous. I would have asked the landlord to rip it out (or, if like me, just paid the maintenance man a few bucks to do the job). I found it interesting how he quantified what gives a space heart. If you live in a place you love, heart just is there. you don't have to go a thrift store and pick up something to give it heart.

Very airy. Reminds me of living on a cloud.

What I don't like about these is that the woman is hyper-sexualized. The man has no drawers in his groin or buttocks, while the woman has them on her breasts and buttocks, the breasts being a sexualized part of the woman. And the man's Ken dolls genitals remove him from humanity while the woman actually has nipples. Hello Mr. Rolfe--Meet feminism.

I bought a huge hunting horn a few months back. In my last apartment, I had the perfect space for it.

In my new place, I find myself decorating so that I can display to horn. I say, live with what you love. As long as you are happy in your space, that's what counts.

Hmm. I am thinking of using pretty glass wide mouth goblets for my cat's food and water. I have a spot right next to the stairs that is perfect because I never walk there. But, I think it's a bit much to install something on the off chance you knock over the water bowl.

Love the after. Everyone makes comments about loving the wallpaper before but I bet they wouldn't live with it! Good job. :)

I have 3 stairs in my apartment that lead to my terrace. They would look so sweet with a splash of color. I'm glad I happened upon this! :)

I love the oversized art! And showing your lived-in home was very refreshing for AT. It's nice to see the delicate and the industrial combined. This is really a sweet place, and that mobile backstory is fabulous.

I like the shelving. I love wood and that's a really creative piece. Couldn't live here, but certain elements are certainly inspiring!

They are a decent distance away from the stove, so grease shouldn't be a problem for the books. Plus, he probably doesn't do much cooking on a flight attendant's schedule.
