Wow. I think my apartment is the same size and I have two cats also. The outrage is embarrassing me a bit. However, I also have a porch that the kitties are allowed to enjoy when it's not snowing. But I'm actually beginning to think my place is closer to 230 or so since I have a full sized fridge off the side of the main space and I've had friends over comfortably. 175 Square Feet! I actually think the shoe rack thing is a bit sloppy. Depends on the ladder and shoes, I'd say. Ladders As Storage | Apartment Therapy Los Angeles |

I decided to do a mixture of warm, country colors with clean lines for bookshelves, sofa, bed, etc. I have a bunch of really homey country touches (homemade vase from street sale, old box purse). The Marek lamp from IKEA is a really cute thing I recently added that combines that warm country color with modern lines. ^_^ How Often Do You Change Your Design Style? | Apartment Therapy Los Angeles |

That carpet was hideous. I would have asked the landlord to rip it out (or, if like me, just paid the maintenance man a few bucks to do the job). I found it interesting how he quantified what gives a space heart. If you live in a place you love, heart just is there. you don't have to go a thrift store and pick up something to give it heart. I cut wild flowers for this touch, but I put them in the kitchen window sill so they can catch the light without the cat knocking them over. Apartment Therapy Los Angeles | Flowers In The Bedroom |

What I don't like about these is that the woman is hyper-sexualized. The man has no drawers in his groin or buttocks, while the woman has them on her breasts and buttocks, the breasts being a sexualized part of the woman. And the man's Ken dolls genitals remove him from humanity while the woman actually has nipples. Hello Mr. Rolfe--Meet feminism. Hmm. I am thinking of using pretty glass wide mouth goblets for my cat's food and water. I have a spot right next to the stairs that is perfect because I never walk there. But, I think it's a bit much to install something on the off chance you knock over the water bowl. Apartment Therapy Los Angeles | Look! A Place for Pet Bowls |

I like the clock. One tiny shelf when I enter my itty bitty apartment with that clock sitting on it and I won't lose my keys again! I'm ebaying. Apartment Therapy Los Angeles | Look: 3 Sneaky Storage Solutions! Austin |

I'm not sure how practical it is to have cloth chairs by the pool, but if you can afford to throw them away if they get splashed, I guess it doesn't matter. Apartment Therapy New York | House Tour: Jennifer Bartlett's 134 Charles Street |

I love the oversized art! And showing your lived-in home was very refreshing for AT. It's nice to see the delicate and the industrial combined.
