i love all of the cute little handmade details, but honestly, for a professional organizer's house, the room looks haphazard and messy.

i'm Polish and i don't understand why that would be a slur. i guess we better not say "Japanese car" or "Italian meatballs" either.

"And then it'll be time for another baby and another nursery!"

i don't understand this mindset. you have a toddler who needs your attention just as much as always but now in different ways, but it's time for another baby? and another nursery to show off on the internet?

sorry, i've just been seeing so much of that I MUST HAVE BABIES mentality lately, as if people need to replace their older child with something cuter.

the nursery is very attractive though. i'm sure all of your subsequent children will have beautiful bedrooms too.

everything in the room is beautiful, but i feel like it's placed oddly. why is the bookshelf behind a table and chair? why is the changing table -right- next to the crib? it looks like as soon as the baby can stand he'll be able to pull the changing pad into his crib. still very pretty though :)

it seems like it would make bathing and changing the baby more difficult. where do you put wipes and diapers? where do you put soap and other bathtime essentials?

it also doesn't strike me as being very sturdy or safe. babies are slippery in the tub, why make it worse by putting them in a bucket 2-3 feet off the ground?

every apartment, no matter how small, has a bathtub, a sink and a floor. that's all you need.

my son spent very little time in his car seat (outside of the car) as he was usually snuggled into a sling, but i agree with the other comments: that's a big price tag for something that will only be used for a couple of months. ideally i think you'd want to use something like this for as short a time as possible in order to take advantage of those months where they can only sit while observing everything that goes on around them. using it too long in order to "get your money's worth" would deny them of learning opportunities. it's very attractive though.

when you use pre-moistened disposable wipes there really is no need for a wipe warmer. the place where it comes in handy is when you use cloth diapers and cloth wipes that would otherwise be dry. i specifically bought a wipe warmer to keep my cloth wipes moist with a simple solution i made :)

this is great! i'm thinking about making my son a mini play kitchen (he has a small bedroom) for his second birthday. the project seems overwhelming but seeing the short list of inexpensive supplies makes it seem less daunting :)

i agree with delilah2. it's never a bad thing to make a room look beautiful, but kids don't care what website made their rug trendy, what etsy seller crafted some expensive piece of decor or if their bed could be featured in a magazine.

i agree with judiau, someone worked very hard to design and market ugly dolls. i agree that $20 is a little much for something most people can make themselves, but come on. don't insult the creator.

there may be some theft of intellectual property here... or possibly a real copyright violation. maybe not, but that doesn't make it right.

sometimes when i see things like this, i wonder if the author actually has children or even knows any, or if they were just hired to write little tidbits to entertain us.

my son is almost 2, and i can't imagine him doing much more than throwing those 35-50 puzzle pieces around the living room.

i think putting photos in vintage glasses is a cute idea, but i'm wondering why they're then attached to sticks and stuck in a pot of... what is that? sand?

i had pretty much the same idea for my son ogden, now 11 months. he has a few books (the little stack gets rotated with the rest of his growing book collection so he always has something different to look at), a basket of odds and ends he has collected and likes to dig through, a small bin of little toys and several larger toys (xylophone, stacker, block set) situated around a small quilt i made for him.
he used to sit there all the time and be entertained for quite a while, but now that he's very mobile he drags things around the room. cute, but messy. now i'm trying to teach him to help me clean it all up :)
