Normally i'm not a fan of painting each room a different primary color... that having been said, i think you were very successful in your execution! I love that blue especially, what is the name/brand? Also, I must know, where are those curtains in the bedroom from? I've been looking for a large leafy printed curtain FOREVER. Good job! I still admire Maxime's ability to create specific 'areas' within a room (i don't know if that makes sense or not) but I think this is the most underwhelming of the 3 spaces he's had featured here on AT. It hasn't come together yet, although I think it's on it's way... the bathroom esp doesn't seem camera ready. One of my favorite house tours EVA... love the finishes, the paint choices, the furniture mish-mash and even the tchotchkes. The bedroom, especially, is well done. I'm a big fan of not being rent poor. Therefore, I found a cheap NYC neighborhood (Washington Heights) and found a small, but thankfully light filled apartment in the best section of that neighborhood (Hudson Heights). It's lovely, walkable, and has a huge park. I got the best of both worlds. I have friends in Jersey that I refuse to visit, but other than that, I never feel out of touch or off-limits. I love it! And I'm actually finding that in a smaller apartment, I'm much more willing to paint the rooms because it doesn't seem like such a task. In my larger apartment (in the ghetto, so glad i moved!) i would only allow myself to do accent walls because i didn't want to have to repaint the whole huge room when I moved. Love the color choices, love that Vampire Diaries is on the TV (guilty pleasure alert). The thing i don't love? That papasan chair! I don't think I'm feeling it, although her technique is good. This pattern is too busy for my taste. On a side note, I painted an olive green in my living room. I also worried it would be too dark. But it's totally the opposite. It makes accent colors in the room really pop, and looks great with the white molding in the room.
