We have the same problem in my son's nursery. I am currently working on a drum shade to hang. Bought a plug in lamp kit on Amazon, got a used drum shade, and am adding paper maps to the entire outside of the shade. You could always pick up a lamp shade and add fabric that goes with the room.

WOW, WOW, WOW! I really love this! The colors are so unexpected for a babies room but it looks so fresh and warm.

Not sure what your price range is but I first thought of this artist on Etsy. I just love his paintings with the kids playing. There are few on there now with girls that would look adorable on that wall!

Hair Gel works really well too! I used this lots when I taught special ed.

I did not make one but did attach a framed magnetic white board to the side of our kitchen island using the 3m velcro strips. This way it can be removed, is still in the kitchen, and does not scratch our fridge.

This is just...beautiful! I am not normally a fan of white but this room is perfect. The art makes this room seem so warm and inviting. Now, I want to run off and make a room white in my house!

Makes me wish I had an entry/hall so I could copy this! Love it!
