What is the art above the bed?

Why do some people feel entitled to criticize how others spend their money? And somehow feel it's OK to be rude toward others who appear to have more wealth than themselves? I find that quite strange, all too common and offensive.

I agree with eliz about the Medieval feel, but you can modernize it with black Kartell Louis ghost chairs.

Sofa for Room with Narrow Entryway Opening? Good Questions

I know this is a bit of a departure from the style (and price) you are looking for, but it may be something to consider due its generous size:

They say in the description that it was conceived to fit through narrow NYC hallways. Hopefully it would also fit through your door.

I recommend against taking furniture apart and having it reassembled. That adds A LOT to the cost, and when you want to get rid of the piece (or move out) you have to pay at least the same amount again, which is especially annoying if you're looking to sell/donate the sofa. Speaking from experience.

I second the comment of dmoutsop, you have to use real paximadi (παξιμάδι!). Oh, and purslane (γλιστρίδα) ...I miss it so much.

...and that beach and sea in your photo... you're making me so homesick.
