I have to agree with Sealbeachy on this onee....if you can put a door there, why wouldn't you just close the door?! We use baby gates in our house where there are no doors...in the hallway and kitchen. And what happens when the kids can open doors?! My son learned to open doors at about 18 months, but I still wouldn't want him going in certain places/down stairs.... Alternative to Baby Gates: Half Doors Kelly Rae Roberts |

I take a picture of my son, edit it a bit to say thank you, and then write out the thank you on the back. Right now, he's only 2, so I do it, but once he can write, he will do it. It is something that I consider to be very important. Our family and friends go above and beyond to find gifts that our son will like, so I think that taking a few moments to recognize that is appreciated. I started doing picture thank you cards when my son was born 2 years ago, and it's still going strong. People love the personalized touch of the picture, as well as the thank you itself. Writing thank you's is one of those important life lessons I plan on instilling in my son when he's old enough. Create Your Own Photo Thank You Cards Under the Sycamore |

..cool idea, but how on earth would you keep your kids drawing on that one particular spot?! If it looks like the rest of the walls, how would they know where they can draw on and where they cannot? Whitey Paint: Transparent Dry Erase Board Paint |

I love recreating shots! We recently traveled to Ottawa, where we were when our son was 6 months. We tried to recreate a photo of him on the parliament building steps, but he wouldn't sit still ( he was 21 months at the time ). I love the way it turned out, because event though he's not in the same position, it shows his personality/activity at the age he was. At 6 months he sat nicely, at 21 months, he was climbing the stairs...helps you remember them at that age... Tips for Recreating Old Photographs Good Questions |

I couldn't live without my baby gate, and I am just in a 700 sq ft. condo! I use one ( that I got for 60% off ) to keep my son out of the kitchen, and another off craigslist to keep him out of the rest of the house (office, laundry, bedroom, bathroom) I would go crazy without them! 15 Baby Money Traps To Avoid According to Mint.com |

Oh! The memories! We had an old GMC Van... my parents would throw a mattress in the back, and make a bed for us! We'd go from front to back, while driving.... we'd sleep, read, play barbies! Ah the good ol days! So wish we could do it now! Perhaps my son would like driving in the car then! Confessions of a Jump Seat Traveler |

we had a baby bath, but our son hated it... hated bath time, until we brought him in the shower with us when he was 2 months old... he's 16 months now and still showers with us.
