Looks great! Love that rug, we have it in our living room at the moment.. Only one I could find with a sort of teal and orange look to it! Tracy333, we got ours from Viva Terra -

I agree with you on the first three - cannot wait to replace some of our crummier appliances, towels, and pots and pans.. But I believe in waiting until they're entirely broken/falling apart. Another one is the vacuum (CANNOT WAIT TO REPLACE) but I will wait it out. My boyfriend recently upgraded our garbage can to a touch-less one (which I thought was bonkers at first) but I'll tell you, it's great to not have to touch the can any more!!

I found some more! The last one has a shade - I'm sure you could remove it if you wanted to!

Good luck!!

I work in a lighting showroom - I'd love to see a piece like this, it's beautiful!! I'm not sure what your budget is, but Swarovski makes a couple different chandeliers that look similar, not exactly the same.. I believe you can customize the colors too..

Years ago, while I was in college, I thought my mom and sisters went bonkers when they described to me finding these in our house and the fear they instilled. One day, on break, I was removing laundry from the basket and one crawled on my arm. I have never screamed so loud in my life! Our cat Milkshake definitely found them more entertaining than we ever could!

Great tips! Also, I especially love this line - "For anyone who isn't aware, you do not open the windows when the AC is running. My parents would be happy to give you a lesson on electricity bills and why we are not paying to air condition the sidewalk, if anyone is interested." My parents have a similar lecture available, lol!!

Good tips! I practice many of these as a laundromat dependent individual. Except #2. Like Mistransformation, I've had a couple experiences (from college, but it's enough to scar you) that make me sit and wait at the laundromat with a good book, rather than leave.

We moved twice during my childhood.. I had a similar feeling with our first house- It was sad to leave our true"home." Now that my siblings and I have all flown the coop, my parents are putting the second house on the market and I have to say, I'm a little more sentimental than I would like to admit. It became a "home" after about 17 years and only now that it's listed, is it sad.

I use this bag for everything! I can haul a lot (my siblings call me "strong like building")! I use this for weekly trips to the grocery store (and heave it up 3 flights of stairs, yay!). I've also used it for large laundry trips, beach trips, and when we moved in.. I seriously love this bag.

Ah, the rental life.. Loud neighbors, no storage, no laundry, no green space, only one parking spot for the two of us.. Also, I don't know why it bothers me, but it does.. The carpet and the walls in the hallways have spots/dents in them.. It's kind of embarrassing when we have people over and they see that before coming into our apartment. Other than that, I love where we live. Ha

These are so fun!! We purchased 3 for our apartment.. Two for the living room, one for the bedroom. It's really nice having the lights come on automatically when the app gets a signal (through GPS) that we're in the neighborhood. We love being able to personalize the colors in our living room (the lamp next to "my" half of the couch is a pretty blue and my boyfriends half is orange, for both of our favorite colors). A couple complaints though.. One is that they're definitely more geared towards the Apple crowd - and we're both proud Android users. The apps run just as well on my boyfriend's tablet.. The option to select from the color wheel or from their preset choices is great and instantaneous, however, there are some blips in color.. For example, the turquoise color I loved turns out a whiteish blue on the bulb. Also, the option to sync it up with music for Android users is difficult.. There isn't one app that we've found yet that works and syncs perfectly. Other than that, we love all the features these bulbs offer!

@RubyMae, have you considered these 11W A19 bulbs from Bulbrite? We feature them in our showroom.. They cast almost a paper-white glow and are dimmable!

@SherryBinNH, haha, I know, it was a silly question, but I have seen it as a font! I saw a card store in Portsmouth (ironic, if you're in NH! :)) that had printed cards in the window with a similar font.. The hunt continues! :)

We rent in a church in Massachusetts.. The space is tight, closets are small, and the commute anywhere kinda stinks, but we can't imagine living anywhere else (for the time being.) We fell in love with it the first time we saw it and especially love our original church windows. It's nice to live somewhere unconventional!

Love!! I third the black Christmas comment. Random question, is there a name for the font on the paper in the type writer picture? I've been looking for something similar to that! Many thanks!
