very warm and inviting. Seems very organic and effortless in how you put your place together with a great mix of stuff. The use of the "oriental" or what ever rug on the stairs and the map in the 1/2 bath are awesome.

I agree with tallmary. couch between the windows, floating out a little, table where the couch was, swap the position of the desk and bookshelf, maybe into the corner if it fits. desk can work as a landing strip. This also creates a nice social area where you can get seating from the desk and table when entertaining. I'd ask the cat, but they only tell you what they don't like.

A tight but very utilitarian kitchen, everything you need. Since it is recessed, why not just use a curtain, non-flammable of course. Ikea would be a good starting place.

Good design is truly timeless.

I think "a little dungeon" might be a nice contrast... and a little excitement in the bedroom.

Sorry another wet blanket here, just found all the patterns to be over whelming in what seems a not so big space. Though individually they're fine if they're your taste.

There two camps of people: Those who believe there are two camps of people, and those who don't.

Does the TV need to go in this room? Can it be put in another room? That would open the possibilities of furniture placement and creating zones for activities that you and your family persue. Personally, I just find that a TV in the main area of the home usurps all other activities.

It looks very nice. But I've noticed a trend of having less and less storage with each of your solutions. Even with all electronic based communications, I still seem to end up collecting paper stuff I need to file. The closet looked the most practical, but the final is the nicest looking.

Do what makes you happy. And when you go to sell, there probably are plenty of buyers who,like you, prefer just a nice shower to a shower/tub combo.
