In my office I have two Ikea Vika Amon tables at 23 5/8" x 47 1/4" each (with the Vika Curry legs). That's right around your 24"x100" requirements, and very inexpensive to boot. Help Me Find a Long, Yet Narrow Desk? Good Questions | Apartment Therapy DC |

Considering the narrow width, you might want to go down to a 12" square tile. I think it might be a little awkward to have just 2 tiles wide through part of the pattern. Or maybe a rectangular tile, parallel to the tub? That way you would still have a sense of largeness in one direction. Tile Size and Layout Advice for a Small Bathroom? As an architecture student I had a chance to visit Zaha Hadid's fire station at the Vitra factory, which utilised this type of open, cantilevered stair. There was a guard rail, but it still felt ridiculously precarious, especially in consideration of the building use - imagine firemen rushing down en route to a fire. It sparked a lively discussion about image vs practicality, refreshing since so often it seemed we were supposed to be inspired by, rather than critical of, the works of the architects we studied. Thanks for the trip down memory lane. Scary Stairs Roundup | Apartment Therapy New York |

How it works in my home is my husband does his laundry, and I do mine. No worries of him throwing my sweaters in the dryer, but he still has to do half the laundry. (Well, maybe a little less than half - I always seem to end up doing the linens...but then again he always takes my stuff to the dry cleaners, so it balances). I'll make a special trip to Trader Joes for cheese, it's so much cheaper than the grocery store, and they have better variety. Trader Joe's Pantry Staples: What Are Your Favorites? | Apartment Therapy The Kitchn |

Yes, it's plastic, and requires electricity, and I really shouldn't like it. But in my heart of hearts all I can think is 'sooo cute' and 'maybe it would help me not kill an office plant'. Hot or Not: USB Greenhouse | Apartment Therapy Re-Nest |

I like Oxo's oven mitts with the silicone grip. I got mine at Target, but I'm not seeing them on their website - you can probably find them on Amazon, or a lot of retail stores carry Oxo stuff. The silicone grip is very heat resistant, finally no problems pulling cast iron pans out of the oven. But it feels like a regular mitt, I don't really like how the fully silicone ones feel. Nicely flexible and machine washable too. Can You Help Me Find a Better Oven Mitt? Good Questions | Apartment Therapy The Kitchn |

If you don't like using mineral oil (a petroleum byproduct), walnut oil is a good alternative (it won't go rancid like most vegetable based oils). My first instinct is a green paint like the pillow in the white chair. I think it would be a great against the pops of pink, blue and orange in the room, and really make them stand out more. And it would look great with your warm brown furniture and window treatments. Green is on the cooler end of the spectrum, so it would give some contrast, but the yellow in it gives it more warmth than blue. It seems like a lot of the other commenters like blue, and it would give a really strong contrast, but it would make it a lot more cold I think. Does this Warm Wall Color Work?
