Way too many pillows for a small bed. And I don't like seeing such a big tv next to the bed. Otherwise it's a nice place!

I'd take the before kitchen as is :). I think it's still quite nice, just needs to be de-cluttered and add a range hood. The after kitchen is nice but it doesn't seem to add much storage space, and it's a bit too modern for me. I also don't like the color of cabinets of the after kitchen. Being that said, that's just a personal thing.

But yes, my kitchen looks MUCH worse and is smaller than that before kitchen. I only had enough budget to retile the countertop and change the cabinet handles :(

I'm now 19 weeks pregnant for our 1st baby and I don't plan on buying everything like some couples do when they have their baby. One thing is that we don't have much space at our house and we don't have all that extra money, and I agree with some of the above that the baby only uses certain stuff for a short period of time. But as we're 1st time parents, I think we'll buy more stuff when we feel we really need along the way. To start with, however, I think we'll only buy the most necessary stuff first.

A Nursery Waiting in Walla Walla My Room

I know it's a bit late... but I still want to leave a comment!

I've been looking for pictures of rooms that have 2 purposes, preferably home office + nursery. But it's really hard to find. I guess most people here have a big house :P

I'm now pregnant and I'd like to put the nursery into my current home office. My townhouse only has 2 rooms and both rooms are about the same size. Being there's a queen size bed in the master bedroom, it'd be a tight fit if I try to put my office (also my husband's occasional office) into the master. So the 2nd bedroom is the only choice.

Also I'd really like to get ideas of how I can separate the 2 "rooms". I really like your idea of using the crates! They look fantastic! Only I'm a creative person like you. So I've been thinking about using the Ikea Expedit bookcase to separate the 2 rooms. I don't know if it's workable yet, as my 2nd bedroom is kind of square looking and not that big. Anyways, this is a really great idea and it gives me hope that maybe I can do the same thing! :) Thanks for sharing! I hope more of these "realistic" multi-functional rooms can be seen on AT!

What a great house! Seriously, I'd like to have an affordable single house about/ under 1000 sq ft with 3 bedrooms in my neighborhood. But even though the housing market is not as good now, I simply can't find such a house in the neighborhood I like!

Ok that was a bit off-track. But I really like the colors, kitchen... And, I LOVE that closet in the bedroom and that little transparent lamp on the nightstand! Does anyone know where I can find a lamp like that?

I gotta vote for this one!

I thought the "stone wall" behind your bed is real! Then I saw the above comments, I realised it is wall paper! And then I looked at that pic again, I STILL think that it's real! hahaha

I knew the stone wall in the living room is just wall paper... but you got me for the bedroom one :)

And yes, it doesn't look like your apartment is in the city. Very nice overall!
I love it!

Love it! You got my vote!

I love the wrap-around bed/ bench with storage. I'd like to see the clothing rack above the bed too.

Also I love your kitchen cabinets? Are those wall paper? Where did you get them? I think they look nice, but I'm just not sure if they can last.

Anyways, very nicely done! Love all the colors too!

Yeah I agree with the above. It's amazing you can fit the 2 nice couches in there! And your apartment doesn't look too small!
Believe me! I've a small townhouse and I can't seem to fit 2 full size couches without blocking anything!

Great job in dividing the space! And vibrant color seems to be a good choice for a small space!

Overall this place is really nice.

I especially like the bedroom with that "forest feel". Also... what a sun room! I wish I had one of those!

I'm just not sure about stacking up the metal cabinets.

I love your "sucken" living room with the railings! So unique! And a nice floor plan too!

But I think the pictures are a little too dark. I don't know if your rooms are really so dark even with windows or its the wall color.

I'm sure this place is nice. But I too have a hard time getting the "big picture" of this whole place. I hope that I can see more coherence in these pictures.
