Painting a ceiling can make the room look like it has higher ceilings. Choose the same color as the walls and the demarcation between ceiling and walls goes away. I wash my dog's toys, cloth, rubber and plastic in a mesh bag using vinegar and a little detergent. No dryer obviously. Cleaner and more sanitary afterwards. He doesn't seem to mind they loose their funk. 6 Unexpected Uses For Your Washing Machine |

I wouldn't recommend refinishing a kitchen sink. It won't hold up to the kind of use a kitchen sink gets. If it was my problem I'd give it a good scrub with "Zud" and touch up the chips with appliance paint. This touch ups will need to be redone every now and then but it's a cheap solution for a rental. Buy what you love. I personally only buy used because I'm trying to be environmentally responsible. Don't count on appreciation unless you buy something very rare and keep it pristine. I think these are hackberry nipplegall makers. No, I'm not making this up. They swarm this time of year. Check for nearby hackberry trees. They are harmless to humans. Close your windows. As a child I was attacked by bees while fishing with my father. It seems the farmer who owned the nearby hives had robbed them of honey the day before we fished in his pond (with his permission).
