Clearly a popular topic! I too am a big fan of tuna salad sands, in fact I made one for lunch today. My fave is Genova Yellow fin packed in olive oil - drained and mixed with Best Foods Mayo, green or red onion, ground white pepper on La Brea bread with sweet pickles and tomato soup on the side. I also like a tuna melt in pocket pita bread with Colby cheddar or scoops of tuna on a traditional green salad with hardboiled eggs, marinated artichokes, pickled beets, cucumber, tomatoes, garbanzo beans and crunchy croutons. OMG I love Mud Creek Ranch - they have the most amazing selection of citrus. Have you tried their TahitianPomplomouse? It tastes like sprite - no joke. Just ask the owner Robin which one it is. Her dried oranges are also super tasty, tart with just enough bitter. Citrus Spotlight: Citrumelos | Apartment Therapy The Kitchn |

I used to love these as a kid. We would have them for Chinese New year as well. I second winane, they are UUUUBBBBER sweet - too much so for me these days. Fresh are leaps and bounds above canned, crunchy, clean and sweet. Canned are good for spinach dip and not much else IMO. Guess This Mystery Grocery Item! | Apartment Therapy The Kitchn |

Laure! Always with the great posts. I've never tried to bake Madeleines - but I love to eat them. This recipe sounds very tasty, perhaps I'll have to buy a pan bake up a batch or two or three. How To Make French Madeleines | Apartment Therapy The Kitchn |

Made a turkey taco salad tonight with lettuce, shredded cheddar and jack, black olives, tomatoes, avocado and black beans w/ a Pacifico for sunset dinner at the beach. Meant to throw some corn and chips in but forgot them at home. What's Cooking This Weekend? Weekend of January 30-31, 2010 | Apartment Therapy The Kitchn |

I love Christmas Lima Beans from Suncoast farms. I make them stewed with smoked tomatoes and peppers from Windrose Farms, some onions, garlic, carrots and a bit of black strap molasses, sea salt, bay leaf and water. No meat needed when using the smoked tomatoes. They come out tender, tasty and thick – great with a side of cheese corn bread. Maybe I’ll make some tonight!!! I participated in the cure last time - it was great. Helped me get projects done and clean out what I didn't need. We've just moved and upgraded to a more modern and open space. So, I'm cleaning, organizing, prioritizing and the time couldn't be more perfect. I’m looking forward to the inspiration from other Cure participants. I'll be seeking opinions on kitchen window treatments, buy or not buy a kitchen island or chopping block cart table combo. Last time I attempted cooking Indian and Vietnamese food - this time I want to learn how to make perfect omelets and pie crust from scratch (mine always turns out terrible). Seems like there is a theme with bundt cakes and alcohol. My mom makes a Cream Sherry Poppy Seed cake with butterscotch pudding and yellow cake mix. It's quick and always comes out super moist and delicious. Apartment Therapy The Kitchn | What Is Your Favorite Bundt Cake Recipe? |

I had the same problem in my last place. I bought some really nice light green handmade japanese rice paper (inexpensive too) and mixed up water and starch for a thin wash and put it in a spray bottle. Covered the floor for easy clean up and sprayed the window first, then laid the paper on the wet window, sprayed the paper a bit more. It stuck to the window and then pushed out any air pockets and let it dry. It lasted until I removed it (got sick of the pattern) and installed the frost film (which I left on when I moved). I love the green and the white eggplants - they come out creamy and almost sweet when grilled with a bit of olive oil, salt and pepper. I stack them spread with hummas, alternating with tomatoes, and cous cous on a bed of lettuce with lemon tahini dressing on top and pita toast points on the side. Delish! Our kitchen windows face west so we get a lot of hot sun in the afternnon, great in the winter, miserable in the summer. We grill a lot in the summer and have a door to exit the kitchen to the balcony where the grill is kept. We've also placed an umbrella on the balcony just outside the kitchen to provide a bit of shade and a rotating fan sits in the kitchen propping the outside door open to bring in the cool ocean breeze in the afternoons. It works nicely. Apartment Therapy The Kitchn | How Do You Stay Cool in the Kitchen? |

I too like the idea but don't think it looks easy to get bottles out with the sides still in the way. Why wouldn't you make it so that they part that flips up, flips down instead to hold the other part of the shelf up - you could even have extendable legs if need to reach the bottom of the shelf below. We get the most amazing Persian mulberries here in California from the farmers market. They are juicier than the one's pictured above and the only thing I do with them is eat them over good vanilla ice cream - it's not worth wasting them by cooking or mixing them with anything that will dilute their pure bliss taste. They come in this week!!!! I can't wait. $9.00 a basket but they are work every last bit. Apartment Therapy The Kitchn | Seasonal Spotlight: Mulberries |

We're big on breakfast burritos at my house. Tatertots, eggs, turkey bacon or sausage, cheese and salsa wrapped in a warm tortilla. Many of the ingrediants can be made the nigth before and then pulled together in the AM and throw in the toaster oven at work or even a few seconds in the microwave and bam breakfast. I also am a fan of grapefruit sections minus the pith on the side of a piece of toast or toaster waffle with cheese or peanut butter. And I love oatmeal and chuncky apple sauce with cinnamon and a side of sausage. I find if I get good rolled oats they don't get mushy over night - just under cook them a smidge.
