After reading this post yesterday I couldn't get the visions of freshly baked cobbler out of my head! I stopped at the store on the way home for some blackberries and had the cobbler in the oven in less than 10 minutes. Great recipe; nice flavor and pleasing texture, although next time I will use salted butter (or add a little more salt)

Although I don't have much experience with IKEA dishes and children, a set of IKEA dishes has lasted me through three years of college (with two male roommates) and then some without a single broken piece. They aren't the most attractive option but I can certainly vouch for their durability.

I've worked with the Weingartens on several projects over the last year and can testify that they exemplify the 'green lifestyle'. In their new home, aesthetics (while important) are trumped by ingenuity, efficiency, and a committment to leaving a soft footprint. Worthy accomplishments in my book!

I used a version of this machine (from another manufacturer) this weekend while visiting Tom Sawyer's Island at Disneyland (of all places). It did a great job of drying my hands quickly. I assume that with the high volume of hands it's responsible for drying at Disneyland, the design must be fairly reliable and not likely to easily transfer germs.

Our bathroom 'sound system' consists of an old iPod connected to a pair of Sony SRS P11Q speakers. It's a low tech solution but it allows me to rock out while showering.

I have both the fisheye and the oktomat and they are certainly fun to play with. The downside/upside is that it does take quite a bit of experimenting to learn how to get the results you want.
Both:

are great places to see what others have done with their lomos
