Practical concern: minimal is so unforgiving. Cozy absorbs a little bit of mess more than minimal, where you have to put everything away the moment you're done with it.

I made trees out of the stainless steel-look contact paper. My landlord took them down during a renovation, even though he wasn't painting. They didn't peel any paint off. I'll never forgive him!

I agree, it's like that old show Freestyle on HGTV where they come in to your house and redo a room with your own stuff so it's all free.

How come AT never responded to all of us who said we didn't like having to watch a video?

If you can make a nice even cut, I'd faux recommend the stainless steel contact paper. Maybe take a buzz saw to a roll and make several rolls of tape out of it. It peels off beautifully-- I made a wall mural with it, and it stayed put for over a year and peeled off without taking paint with it.

I make a pile of the obvious things on the sofa in my bedroom. The big job is picking out clothes, which I avoid and leave till the last minute when I feel more inspired. If I'm really indecisive, I pick a theme, like Mod for a trip to Italy, nautical/preppy for a weekend on Martha's Vineyard.

Great kitchen-- elegant is a good word for it, but not fussy!

What I meant by that above comment was that I thought if I liked the scent, then I'd want to clean more!

Andrea Jane, I was dating a Scandinavian recently, and between the heavy MCM focus here and his streamlined taste, I was starting to feel bad too!
