Very beautiful! Love the colors and the clean lines! The only thing that leaves me uninspired is the artwork. It fits well in the home, but seems like it was chosen as decor to complete a room rather than as individual pieces collected over time. But, that's just my personal preference for paintings and art that are more stand-alone pieces. Overall, I love it!!!

I vote one star... again because of price point and impracticality. Sorry, but if it's not easy to clean and it's outrageously priced, I'm not that excited about it.

Very beautiful... much less so after I found out the birds are dead!

Very cute, actually the whole room is gorgeous. I would worry about splinters and cleaning it though. It's hard to dust/clean old wood, especially with the slats underneath!

They are beautiful, and I'm sure creating them involves an incredible amount of time and expertise. However at $1300 USD there is NO WAY, even in a moment of sheer insanity, I would ever purchase one. I like to be able to use things, rather than just preserving them, and even in a guest room I would be so worried about ruining it!

Where's the fan and AC? Also, can't quite tell but I don't see any bedside tables. I know the lights are in the ceiling, but it would still drive me crazy to not have a place for a book, glass of water, etc. and if you sleep with someone else lamps are much more practical if one person wants light while the other sleeps.

Oddly enough, since moving from a fairly busy street in Chicago to a quiet suburban neighborhood in the south east I am MORE diligent about keeping curtains closed.

In Chicago I was in a raised first floor courtyard apartment with a highrise across the way, right next to the sidewalk. Living there my curtains were open all day and most evenings except in the bedroom. I'm sure neighbors and passersby got many glimpses. Actually when I was in the sunroom people would often wave and say hi! Somehow the general anonymity of city living (and lack of central air) made it okay to be so exposed.

Here in the burbs my house is closer to the ground (no basement), and I'm TERRIBLY self-conscious about having the curtains open. In fact, they are pretty much always closed (heavy curtains, not sheers). I guess I'd rather have strangers peeking in then the nosy suburban neighbors I see every day! I do really miss the sunshine indoors though...

In our living room the couch is in front of of a large window, pulled out about 6 in with long drapes behind it. There's no other wall in the livingroom to fit a couch, plus we don't open the drapes since they face the neighbors.

The new bedframe arriving this week (yaay!) will also be put in front of a window. Decided to get a king size bed even though room is only 11'x11'... husband and I don't mind the look of a large bed in a little space, the frame will cover some of the window but we are doing it so it looks purposeful rather than sloppy.
