I still want a Segway. The other four, I don't care about.

I am looking to relocate in the not-too-distant future, and I have to say that a lot of prices listed here are not nearly as dystopian as I had been thinking they could be. This gives me so much hope!

Lol. Every once in a while, I will get the phrase "toilet paper hung in incorrect overhand position", from an episide of The Simpsons, my head, and it cracks me up every time.

Fwiw, I prefer the underhand method simply because it makes the bathroom seem that tiny little bit bigger.

I want one of these.

I currently have a Doxie portable scanner and I have frequent access to a Canon all-in-one device. The ADF feature in both in conjunction with Preview causes the documents I scan to be skewed about 15 degrees. Every time. Which gets annoying after a while.

Rather than running the cords around the sides of the chipboard, I would've mounted a USB hub like an outlet. Perhaps beside the picture.

^ Ditto. Also, I have RLS and having a large shredder under the desk (this is the least bad place for it) aggravates it a fair bit sometimes. And I have yet to find a retailer in Canada that carries any of the slimline shredders and charges less than 60% of the price of the item for shipping.

Hmmm... A usb drive in a pocket watch? This could be cool *and* gentlemanly. Plus, a pocket watch would allow for larger and larger capacity drives.

I keep the trash can and recycling in another room. If I have to get rid of something, I stand up and walk to that room. Bonus: physical exercise. Maybe I should move the shredder too.

@KimberlyRose: I use Mozy, I know people that use CrashPlan and others that use Carbonite. They all have their pros and cons.

I haven't used or looked into Carbonite in years so I won't comment on it. Pricing for CrashPlan is better than Mozy's if you're backing up multiple machines but for one machine the price is comparable. Mozy for Windows has a feature that lets you back up to an External hard drive in addition to the cloud; Mozy for Mac does not have that yet. CrashPlan does that period.

Hth!
