I'm enjoying my Husqvarna (Viking) a lot. I have the Emerald 118 which is the basic model. I've used fancier Pfaffs and Berninas, but the Emerald is my favorite. I sew quilts, clothing, curtains, and soft toys, and I've never needed a feature that the Emerald didn't have.

A friend of mine painted her living room Jalapeno Jelly a couple of years ago. I demanded that she tell me the name of it since it is so nice!

I love how the white border painted onto the floor acts as a "shelf" for books and toys. Things look put away without adding in potentially dangerous shelving.

I would start with a fun floor treatment in a lighter color to help brighten up the space. From the pictures it also seems like the ceiling is a bit low? Incorporating some vertical elements on the wall might help make the space taller and lead the eyes to that pretty ceiling!
