What about a light gray? Or what if you paint one wall a bold accent color (red perhaps) and leave the other walls an ivory or cream color?

Look on Craigslist. My family and I have rented several apartments through Craigslist with very successful results. You just have to be discerning and make sure you get everything in writing. Also, some colleges/universities have classified sections in the back of their alumni magazines where alumn offer their homes for rent around the country.

I have two of those! I've used them as coffee tables, packing boxes, bedside tables, and--in true NY fashion-- dining tables. They hold up great and reasonably priced.

I recently painted my living room a wonderful light green color from Behr. I don't remember the exact name, but it came out very nicely on our walls.

I highly recommend my broker, Matt Berkson (mberkson@citi-habitats.com). He just help us find an apartment to buy and he is a great source of information and very reliable and good to work with. Apartment hunting is rough, but there are lots of great places out there.

My boyfriend and I just got engaged and we're looking for an interesting, creative space to get married in. I'd like to go the museum route, but am finding it hard to find spaces that will fit 250-300 people. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Shawn--

I recommend going to Navy Pier and walking around the lake front, the weather should still be good enough then. There are also some wonderful museums that are definitely kid-friendly: the planaterium, the Field Museum, and the Museum of Science and Industry. For great boutique shopping, go to West Division St. And if you like sushi, there is a fabulous sushi resturant, Mirai, at 2020 W. Divison.

I second Samantha S.'s comment on Pippen Home. I bought a double drop-leaf table from them recently for a great price and the woman who helped me was extreamly nice and accomodating. It's definitely worth checking out.

Rachel--

I have a wood section couch from West Elm and have been very happy with it. The cushions are super comfortable and have held up very well as has the frame.

Does anyone know where to find glass jars like these http://ec1.images-amazon.com/images/I/41V9ZPC2EDL._SS260_.jpg but cheaper and more old school?

Lisa2inaustin--

If you can, I'd recommend looking in thrift or antique stores. You can often find really great drop leaf tables for less than you would in a chain store.

Where is that cushioned bench (not quite sure what to call it) from? It's awesome!
