My suggestion it to take a sturdy box, cut out the bottom and back and paint it what ever color you want; slide into place. Easy to remove and redo as the heart desires.

I pose for life drawing classes and would like to add photos of my poses to my portfolio, but don't want to have my naughty bits showing. One never knows who will see the photos. Is there a photo editor that will blur or fade out the bits just a bit and not overwhelm? The ones I've tried look really awful.

Don’t paint the brick on the bricked up window. I will cost a fortune to have it sand blasted off. If you do want to have something painted have it painted on canvas and hang it up; that way when you do cut open the window you don’t have to worry that some of the painted brinks are outside of the footprint of the new window. Also, you can change your mind and have a new look and hang it up easily.

I keep a black collapsible launder hamper in front of my bedroom doorway. It’s hard to see in the dark so I figure any crook will fall over it, get embarrassed and leave. When I travel I put my suit case up against the door.

The drywall in my entry closet became damp from my neighbors leaking water heater. I called Servpro to check to see if I had mold growing. They sent their mold inspector and he said to use rubbing alcohol and that bleach doesn’t kill mold. I wasn’t charged for the call either. They take mold very seriously.

The kitchen looks great, very modern and clean. The step stool next to the refrigerator looks like the old kitchen is trying to take over again.

While these cups are fun, after paying $5.00 for 50, it doesn't make much sense to me to pay that much for one that I have to wash. :O)

My Mother reupholstered a small wingback chair and matching ottoman with a skirt which covered the legs. The cost for the labor was $895.00, but the fabric she picked out was over $1000.00. I can’t imagine how much this couch would cost.
Oh, in case you’re wondering, the chair was my mother’s grandmother’s and fit her petit frame.

Funny, I hate saying I own. Everytime I say 'my condo' I cringe. Mostly I say home or apartment.

Oh, yes, I have one that I still miss 10 years after moving, and it’s only a mile away. For some amazing reason I was able to buy a home and did. In So Cal buying is out of reach for many and I had no delusions that I would be able to buy a condo. The condo is fine. The price was good and the value was up there too. It’s bigger, I have a garage, but it isn’t like the little one bedroom I rented for 8 years. Oh, well.

I bought Phillips Twinkle Lights at Target. The description sounded good with only 20 out of 100 that twinkle. Well, the twinkle is rapid fire and is too distracting. I will be taking them back. I really like the Starry Lights.

My oven manual warns to move birds to another part of the house as they can be sensitive to the smoke that comes from the self cleaning oven. That should tell you something.

Good morning Elena, You have asked a very big question. At first I was going to suggest one of the curtain rods that swivel back and forth, but that won’t work with what you want to do. The other option would be to install a small track on the ceiling and curve it around to enclose the vestibule. With this, I think, you could pick any fabric you like. IKEA has something similar, but it has limits in how it can be configured.

Years ago I lived in a 1910 shotgun house with very drafty window. So I know how it feels to have your heat escape.

Good luck to you.
