Hooray for having our own washing machine, do not care that it is the kitchen. And I did not care that, in our last unit, it was in the bathroom. I was just so happy I didn't have to walk 2 km to do the washing. Our kitchen is fairly compact, but I think it fits everything (washing machine, dishwasher, fridge, etc.) in pretty nicely.

I bought some conversation hearts this year and they were really awful. They were super fruity and had new, shocking colours. What gives?

I'm really impressed how you managed to work with that blue carpet. I know about that blue carpet...I think there was a sale somewhere in Brisbane and only landlords bought it. :)

Lovely home!

@Coonifer Eeek! Calm down :) Some babies get bottles, some don't. Leave it at that.

Yeah, the wording is creepy, but the bottle itself looks creepy too. The idea is neat, however.

Finally got around to making this and it was lovely! Sampled the olive oil on the salad at the end, and decided not to mix it into the entire thing.

This works for my husband and I. We have a long, narrow room for our 'office' and the set up is really quite nice. Not anything I would have in a different sort of space though.

We do a lot of gaming so it's actually more fun to be close :)

Like Lizztopia mentioned, in Australia dryers are the exception to the rule. I couldn't imagine taking a walk around the neighbourhood and not seeing clotheslines...full of colours and waving in the breeze. Like a string of party banners :)

Even my uni friends who don't have access to balconies or gardens hang their clothes on drying racks in their living room.

The only time I can remember not hanging my clothes on a line to dry was during winters when I lived in Montana. During the winter it would get to -40F. If you hang your clothes on a line when it's that cold they will freeze and then your jeans can break in half. Not terribly efficient.
