I'm super impressed that you managed to create a stylish little landing strip in this cramped space! Everything about this place is so cute and relaxed feeling!

Oh I love this is it so my style! Vintage and colourful without looking overdone or cluttered. The wall colour really seems to enhance the small bright coloured items you have around the place and I normally am not a fan of taupey colours!

One thing though...in my book, this is definitely not a studio. There's a separate bedroom (that's bigger than mine in my two-bedroom apt) as well as a separate kitchen AND dressing room! What you've got here is a very stylish one bedroom. Face it.

I really really appreciate posts like this AP! I live in a pretty small apartment - 450 sqf - that still somehow manages to be a two bedroom. It is incredibly helpful to see some of the popular decorating ideas realized in a tiny space that I can relate to! Maybe by next year I'll be ready for Small Cool myself! :)

I usually don't love the more muted colour apts but this one just speaks to me. The whole space manages to look sedated without being drab. I'm relaxed just looking at these pictures!

Might be a little much purple for me, but i adore the grey and white stripes in the sleeping nook!! It's such an unexpected little visual surprise when looking around the apt! Fab!!

I love the colour and the paint job you did on this hallway, but the white tile floor makes the overall effect feel a little reminicent of an old school asylum or something. I think that keeping the orginal floors with the new paint and would have just looked fantastic!

I can't say enough how impressed I am by the wall colour you've chosen for this room! I love all shades of green, but I've always been wary of green for a large room. This looks fantastic! I'm inspired!

I've always used this little trick to get pills off my knits. I've tried several different gadgets that claim to do the same thing over the years but none of them worked quite as well as the disposable razor!

Such a calming environment! I just want to curl up here and unwind.

Sidenote: I believe my Mother has one of those patterned chairs, if there the ones from Anthropology. She had never even heard of that store...just walked into one one day and was smitten with that chair! Bought it right off the floor! LOL

I would absolutely love to see a house tour of this place. I love the way you've used colour without making the small space seem cluttered or overwhelmed. How many square feet is it?

If I could afford it, I would gladly pay more for a great view. Or rather, compromise on other apt features to get a great view in my price range.

My parents have a place on the 24th floor in a building in Rosslyn VA. They are right on the river and have the most amazing panoramic views of DC, from the National Cathedral all the way to the Pentagon! And the place has huge floor to ceiling windows in every room to make the most of it! At night I like to turn off the lights and just sit on the couch staring out the window. Priceless!

This home is absolutely beautiful. It's really aspirational for me! I dearly wish I could do the same but sadly, my place is much too cramped.

Also, I am coveting your blue leather couch and chairs. I want those so bad it hurts my soul.

I love the idea of a solid turquoise colour on the walls, with maybe a slight ivory white trim.

But I don't know how that would work with the rest of ur blue rooms...

I am all about looking past cosmetic stuff to see the potential in a place! My lovely current apartment was painted all kind of hideous colours when i first saw it. The previous tenant had painted the whole kitchen an ugly blue and when i say the whole kitchen, I mean all the wood wainscoting and window and door moldings and everything!! I spent weeks painting every room before I moved in!

Other people may have seen ugly peeling paint... I saw the freedom to do whatever I liked with my space! Since the landlord clearly did not care.

Also, you might be able to get better deal on an ugly place...cause of all the people who would pass on it due to cosmetic problems!

I may be the odd man out but I kind of love that little bricked nook over there. I think what you can do with it will depend on what you plan to do wit the room as a whole.

The pic makes it seem quite dark...are you planning on maybe painting over or removing the wood paneling? If the walls were a nice warm colour, you could keep the natural brick. Or if you plan on keeping the walls as is, you could maybe paint the brick a soft white.

If it were me, I'd paint it, put some corner shelves above it, throw in a big ol' bean bag or some large plush pillows and make it a little reading nook...

I really like this place, it's feels calm and curated, yet lived in. Where did you get that raffia-looking sidetable/pouf next to the green chair? Love it!

And for the record, I do agree that the poorly-fit name of this post definitely distracts from focusing on how stylish the place really is!

This is such a cute place! I adore all the old moldings and built-ins and I LOVE that kitchen!! This place is totally my style!

I would have loved to see a photo of that old stove you mentioned. I myself have a gas-on-gas stove from the 50s in my apartment, and I've designed my whole kitchen around it's enameled retro vibe!

Hey! I live in the North End too! My apt is also about 450sq, with a challenging layout. And this is great inspiration!! I love that you've put so much personality into your space while still keeping the colour palette very muted and soft.

This is a fantastic space and I love LOVE your kitchen! But yeah, those couches are killing me. They do look comfy though...maybe the same style in a different leather colour??

I love your desk! And I've very fond of the colour in your bedroom and office. Can you please share the name and brand?

I too am wondering what neighbourhood you are in...looks like it could be the North End, which is where I live!!
