I love it! Of course I have no entryway closet or space to speak of. We just have a coat rack in the living room, so pretty much anything would be an improvement. I do love having a place to sit and take off shoes right inside the door.

Last year the fiance ended up with an infected tooth on Thanksgiving. He was in a lot of pain and the whole side of his face was swollen to the point it looked like he had a wad of cotton or something in there. He ended up eating mostly mashed potatoes and stuffing. Worst thing about tooth-related illnesses on holidays is trying to find a dentist that's open.

Yeah, that seems like a crazy amount of clothes for a week...maybe they meant 3 tops that go with each bottom...with there being some overlap? That way you end up with at least 9 different outfits.

I did this with all my dvds when I went to college, since there was no way I was lugging 100+ cases halfway across the country and then paying to store them every summer. Now that I live here permanently I’ve been slowly bringing all the cases from my parents house by sticking a few in my suitcase everytime I come back from a visit…I’m about halfway there at this point. I’m having to do the same with all the books I collected in high school as well…

Great scratching post, definitly expensive for what it is, but so worth it as it has stopped the cat from ruining my couch at least.

There's a big difference between truly not liking something and saying you don't like everything you've never actually tried. I do get really annoyed at the latter. We have a couple of friends like that and often have to limit our restaurant selection because of them. You shouldn't force or trick someone into eating something they don't like (I wouldn't want anyone force-feeding me bananas), but insisting they give something a fair shot I think is fine.

I feel your pain stepanka...used to have roommates that were the same way. I never understood why they didn't just put the dish in the dishwasher...its literally right there! and only takes probably 5 seconds longer than dropping it in the sink...but such is life...

Those are norfolk island pines, I ended up buying one this year to use as my christmas tree from Lowes. It too was sprayed with glitter, but I thought it seemed fun, besides my ornaments with glitter shead way more the the tree. I thought it would make a good year-round house plant as well (crossing my fingers I can keep it alive).

I just bought a norfolk island pine to use as a small potted Christmas tree, but I'm planning on keeping afterwords as just a house plant as it doesn't look too Christmas tree-ish, might be a good option for you? Also they should be pretty easy to find right now I got a pretty good sized one from the big-box home improvement store for $15. Although I realized the one I bought was sprayed with some kind of glitter...festive!

I had one as a kid and couldn't resist buying another a few years back...even if it is still sitting in a closet in my parent's house unused...

I once made a similar photo-wall. I used a big poster board and got a bunch of those clear photo corners. You don't notice them from a distance and then you can easily slip the photos in and out.

The tenants below us smoke and I've never really noticed anything except when I've been on our deck with them smoking directly below me on their deck. We too are in an older home (early 1900's). Never had any problems smelling it through the ventilation or anything. But again I think its really going to depend on the structure of your apartment.

Don't know what your story is on throw pillows, but our dog used to steal them off the couches and then suck on them. (yes its weird...I guess its a comfort/nursing thing) We decided just to buy a throw pillow just for her and she stopped stealing ours. It does get pretty gross and gets replaced bi-annually, but the cheap-o pillow than the nice ones.

It seems like all you would need was a slight ridge in between the shower and toilet area. Would keep all the water in the shower area. Then you can have a drain in both the shower and the toilet area for easy clean-up. That would pretty much make it function the same as all other bathrooms.
