Don't forget pacifier clips. They are a lifesaver! My now 7 month old has worn one every day since she was born and often goes through 2 or 3 a day because she chews on them. I made my own, but you can buy them too. Tried and True Baby Essentials Recommendations Good Questions |

We made the curtains in Feb and purchased it around that time. It was on major sale, though, so i suspected that the were discontinuing it. It makes sense since it's such a large scale print, i don't know what you could do with it other than curtains. I was at ikea about 6 weeks ago and they still had some, so you may just want to call your local store or try going in. Noa's Bright and Sunny DIY Small Kids, Big Color Entry #12 |

@melichan- She's way too young to climb and we can always anchor it down. But this is a rental and we probably won't live here for much longer, so we'll deal with it when we get there. Noa's Bright and Sunny DIY Small Kids, Big Color Entry #12 |

Hi! It's Noa's Mamma, Susan. Yes, I sewed the curtains using Ikea fabric and the help of a very generous friend. We just sewed the fabric onto a set of Ikea curtains that I had already had for years to really block the light. The fabric is called "Gisela", which was a very happy coincidence because it was one of the names we were considering for our daughter! Noa's Bright and Sunny DIY Small Kids, Big Color Entry #12 |

I prefer to give activities rather than throw-away stuff. I like to give art sets like paint sets and a little canvas or beads to string or whatever. The kids love it and the parents appreciate that it's a productive activity to entertain their kids for a little while! Are You In Favor of Favors? Reader Survey |

Congrats on the baby! I have never heard of this. It's really none of his business that you are having a baby and when the offer is that water is included, that means you could have a waterslide in your bathroom and he couldn't complain. I am expecting also, and our landlord is thrilled! We are already good tenants, but a baby means that the tenants are more settled and won't be having wild parties or anything like that. I do like it, but it looks a little too "designed" for my taste. Doesn't look like an actual child lives here. More like a catalogue page (but a nice one!). Apartment Therapy Ohdeedoh | Lily's Favorite Floral Small Kids, Big Color Entry # 18 |

I think this could be cute for like an older brother or sister (other kids in the family; to make them feel included), but I dont really get it for adults. I mean, does anyone really care? Seems a bit self-indulgent. Do you need to bring presents to these things? I agree that if that's what they want to do to celebrate a fun moment, then they aren't hurting anyone and it's fine, but I would totally roll my eyes if I were invited to one of these!
