Agreed, and living in NYC, I've seen some VERY tiny kitchens, I'd call these modest in size. 10 Tiny Kitchens We Love |

I've always loved the minimalist spaces, but they seem to only have limited appeal... maybe more people like the comfy cozy home-nest feel then the cool sleek simple look. *shrug* Apartment Therapy San Francisco | Small Cool 2009: Argelia Rodrigo's Clean Lines Little Division #05 |

I purchased the cup holders in a small holder, it was like $20 and my friends love it for their beers on my coffee table. Totally awesome! Apartment Therapy Re-Nest | Fiesta Collection by Ten Thousand Villages |

I'd say any space can be made much more comfortable with the infusion of some small personal items. They don't have to overwhelm or anything, but just a little something in each room can really do the trick! I like the chain link fencing. It gives the space division without blocking light or sound. Plus, it's probably reasonably inexpensive, or maybe even recycled! I guess I have a think for metal. I am in the process of switching over to a projector. I almost never watch tv, and I mostly use it for movies and the Wii. But it's my roommate's Wii, and once I move out, I'll just need movies and my computer. As for TV? Don't have time for that brain rotting stuff. Give me a good book any day of the week! The walls, there is to much going on on the bottom half and nothing on the top, try and even out the space some, bring things higher in the room and bring in more color, less neutral. I can't help but keep wondering what a bright fire engine red circle rug would look like under the coffee table, probably would draw to much attention though. I like the headboard in the picture with the Hulsta bed, it's high enough that if I woke up and turned in the direction of the head of the bed I wouldn't see myself, but is close enough to give the feeling of a headboard. What about the possibility of a sand blasted mirrored headboard. Gives the sense of depth without the morning hair details. Apartment Therapy Chicago | DIY Idea: Mirror Headboard |
