@rural and rueful Could it be that when you live alone you don't have someone to share the minor details of your life with? I'm very happy for you that you have someone to talk to all day, but think of it from the perspective of someone who doesn't. All the little inconsequential things you and your spouse/roommate talk about and do not even give a second thought to--lots of single people don't have that luxury. The toiletry bag tip is a great idea. I do a lot of weekend trips so I buy small versions of my favorites and because they are so expensive I just refill them with the large bottle I already have. Jessie--I just spent some time on your blog and I'm fascinated! I don't have children--and probably never will--but I love to see the different ways children play and learn and interact. Your girls are very lucky! What a calm, happy place to grow up. It warms my heart, and reminds me of my own childhood, to see little ones playing without tvs or electronic devices around. I love my West Elm Parsons desk! I work from home and sit at it for 8+ hours every day. I frequently go through spells of Sell Everything!! but the desk is one of the few things I would keep--along with my leather C&B Petrie Chair! :) Gotta love their floor sample sales!
