Wow I'm surprised by all the negativity, if it doesn't work for you - just don't do it.

I for one have tricky closet space in our condo and can see how a long narrow set of hooks would be brilliant for any number of items currently with out a permanent home - yoga mat bag, umbrellas, bike & scooter helmets, plethora of pashminas & scarves...not to mention everything BreathingRooms mentioned too!

Kudos to Sarah for her innovation and taking the time to share it with others and inspire us!

Gorgeous rooms - though I'm with Sweets501 and also most intrigued by the leather knitting bag!!

I love these tea towels! I saw them at the ICA in Boston & decided they were too lovely to soil with wiping up kitchen spills so I turned them into hangings by backing them on cardboard with some quilters batting in between and framing them. The two tree designs make a gorgeous pair and complement our Crate & Barrel Marimekko duvet perfectly!

We just moved too and I felt the exact same way...it didn't feel like home. But we found a few touches made all the difference.

-Hang a mirror (check out used furniture shops for cheaper options)
-Non-overhead lighting (you already have some great lamps!)
-Make your own affordable art:
I framed these tea towels from Ferm Living http://www.fermlivingshop.us/towels/teatowel_apple.html and http://www.fermlivingshop.us/towels/teatowel_pinetree.html.
We have some great art that fills a lot of the wall and total cost was under $30 each!

Before we knew it cozy, comfortable and most importantly HOME!
