feline pine is fine for one cat, although mine is really stupid and doesn't know how to cover her poo. I prefer it even though it doesn't cover odors as well as other brands it doesn't have dust or tracking issues which are a bigger deal for me. Luckily our set up allows the box to be mostly shielded by a large file cabinet.

holy heck the poster child for too many closeups. The cork map is really cool and I would love to eat those cinnamon rolls or whatever, but a few wide angle shots would have been nice.

How Do You Memorialize Loved Ones at Home?

there is something about sitting in front (a porch if you're lucky) that signals you are open to interaction. Was on a friend's front porch and a cab pulled up next door to take the neighbor out of town. While bringing her luggage out, she brought us over a bag of oranges she was worried would go bad while she was gone. Probably would not have bothered to knock on the door but thrown them out otherwise.

Being "out front" has rewards.

the negative comments seem overly concerned with privacy and design. Unless you're walking around naked constantly, who cares if someone is looking in? I don't really care if my neighbors see my exciting life of watching tv, surfing the internet, cooking and reading. I think the trade off of more visual space is completely worth it.

As far as having "no design" in a space this small having hidden storage as she describes in the comments is completely necessary in a space this small rather than lots of furniture.

Overall this is awesome and the best possible use of a tiny space. great.

sell a lot of your books, movies and cds on amazon; with the cloud and streaming it's just not necessary to HAVE all those things any more. Also look at what you have and don't actually need or love and donate or sell it. also think of things that are easily/cheaply replaceable you can ditch.

it really depends on the person, but ask your self how many of things you need, say purses-how many can you have and still be happy? if the number is low then you should be able to do it.

also be pretty ruthless about gifts you got that may not match your color scheme or lifestyle. Just because you're giving away the margarita glasses doesn't mean you don't still love the giver.

we have a martha stewart large saucepan I got at Kmart at least 10 years ago that my husband uses to make spaghetti at least a few times a week. It really is great quality.

I don't hae a le creuset or a kitchenaid or anything very expensive and somehow have managed.

I like the paint as is. Agree a multipurpose room for guests office & tv makes the most sense, foldout couch or futon, desk & tv you could do for minimal money and max usage.
