Penzy's is great. You can buy single herb/spice or blends. Check out the blends, they often are extremely wonderful

I have a stump like that and did make a planter. Looks pretty cool and it also helps the tree rot a bit more for hopefully easier removal. One day.

Interesting idea tho.

Having done that job - congradulations on a very pretty scene. Nice dual use of the yard, and good shade, too. Like the texture change from patio to stone to wood.

Hard work and worth every minute of it when you enjoy the space!

Stop, stop the madness! The video adjectives send you over the edge by the 3rd minute!!

Lovely palettes if you have the audio off.

Not meaning to be snarky, just a bit too much info!

I think it would be fine to plant edible plants in the horse trough, provided you get a new one or know the history of a used one.

I believe they are made out of aluminum.

Love the idea, love it. Might copy it - on a smaller scale - for a patio planter.

It looks like something out of Beverly Hillbillies decor - or a tacky take on cabin decorating......

ugh.

And I bet it is top heavy.

Love the floors, too. So shiny.

If you do have to go thru the closet to get to the bath, that is incentive to keep things neat.

Question, where do you eat?

I have that little ottoman in my office. (lead photo) Fun to see it in a picture!

Okay, been one to cook and bake, this doesn't look like a high production kitchen. It is simple and perfect for 2 people.

Therefore, I love love love the idea of incorporating the dining area style into the kitchen. Beautiful. Softens the industrial look, too.

I have used a 5x7 thow rug in my kitchen, albeit washable. Such a cozy feel on your feet in the morning or the winter.

Great idea.

Interesting use of space.
Comments on fireplace, me? I would center it and put the lower somewhere not obtrusive. LOVE the clock/art piece in the fireplace.

I agree with needing more height. The shelf to the left of the fireplace could be higher, hold the travel things and the cable boxes. Could make things look less busy.

Or what AT4H said, put the TV in the corner.
That would actually make viewing from the couch and the chairs better.

Like the white and the silver accents. Clean looking.

I am slowly converting to leather. Doesn't hold the fur. Easy to wipe down. Granted the family room sofa has a rustic look to it (well loved couch), however in the years we have had it and the Spaniel, cleans up fine. Dog is bathed a bit and not really doggy smelling so that helps. Sister in law had 4 cockapoos and they lay like cats on her leather couch.

I also do the throw quilt on the bed. Yep, doggie is with us. However next dog gets its own bed. He hogs the bed.

Leather and cats is not so good, however.

NOTHING beats a balcony/deck. And it can make an apartment feel so much bigger on those Chicago spring days. and summer days. Warm fall plus the occasional winter thaw.

It can happen. Honest. Just not this year.

Too much stuff. Too much.
Thin out something. All I see are cobwebs and dusty glassware.
My eyes don't know where to look. There is just so much stuff.

Like the bookcase for bowls (needs thinning)

Paint the walls or whitewash. Look again after less clutter and lighter walls. Oh, new lights - choose from techno stainless to cozy antique/country french.

I would love that stove and all those knives.......
