These are beautiful packaging ideas!

We just discovered a mulberry tree growing over our fence and covered with fruit! What an unexpected treat:) The mulberry thyme ice cream sounds wonderful.

In our house, I'm the cook and my husband stays away from the kitchen, but I cannot - or could not - cook rice until my husband taught me a trick he learned in Japan. Rather than being tempted to take the lid off too soon, don't remove it until you see no more steam coming from the pan. It's worked every time!

We live in a small house and the only place there was room for our bookshelf was the dining room. I've been wanting to see pictures of other dining room libraries. This is great! Thanks:)

When my daughter and granddaughter were living with me, I inherited a bunch of those little plastic baby food containers. They are perfect for freezing eggs. I just write on the lid how many whites are in each container, and the date. I've had great luck with using these whites for meringues and other things. Also, sometimes a recipe calls for brushing a crust with egg and you have so much left over; I freeze that too and just make sure to note its use on the lid.

These are just what I've needed but didn't know they existed! Thanks for the enlightenment:)

I vote for HTCE. I have a cookbook addiction, but that is the one I pick up most often.

I live in Utah, and they do eat a lot of jello there and put weird things in it. But there is also a lot of really good food in Utah as well:)

Bittman's HtCE is almost always the first book I grab. I also like Alice Water's Art of Simple Food. The one that really made things click for me in the baking department was Sur la Table's Art and Soul of Baking.

I stick to coffee, water, and tea. I remember when I was a kid and how I loved breakfast at my grandparents' because we were given a tiny glass of grape juice. I can still remember that cold, sweet glass of juice.
