Yes, the one with the bird cages is the same print as one sold by UO--but not anymore. I had two of the bird cage curtain panels and tried to get two more but was too late. When I e-mailed them to ask about it, in case they had just two lying around an office somewhere, they said they have to keep adding new merchandise "to offer people the latest" whatever. Would love to know if anyone's found that fabric anywhere.

Regarding the Aura paint: suppose you are going with a lighter color? For example, a beige wall being repainted with white? Has anyone had good results with one coat in such a situation?

I'm making the switch. The paper towels I like the most for tough cleaning or for the bottom of the bird cage are Brawny but the prices have become too high for me to justify the expense. Cheaper paper towels are, well, cheaper but you end up using even more of them. I probably will keep one roll for emergencies, like if I was sick with the flu and couldn't do laundry or drop it off to be done.

I agree it's easier to make this change if you don't have pets that get sick.

Furniture layout! I don't even have a lot of furniture: bed, dresser, chest, nightstand. In a 10'x14' room. But I had to get a queen size bed. And there's a closet, and of course, a window. I just rearranged it today and am so grateful for furniture sliders!

I'm actually glad to see this mentioned. I wondered if it was just my dental hygenist with a strong electric toothbrush bias that wasn't really warranted. I tend to err on the side of caution with dental advice out of fear of needing actual dental work beyond a cleaning so I probably will get one. The prices do seem steep and I wonder what the difference really is between the $8 models and the $100 ones.

Besides that it looks like there is enough room to enter on top, how would you quickly get OUT of those windows in case of a fire? You should never assume you could use another way out--that might be where the fire is.

The people in the building next door put their Christmas tree near the window; our apartments are in the rear of our respective buildings so the only people who see their tree are me, the guy upstairs and the lady downstairs. But I like that they do it. Maybe it's because the apartments are kind of close together but it is nice.

Joesky, it is worth asking the next technician specifically if anyone could be hooking into your cable. This happened to someone I know--they were connecting into her line somehow from outside the building and it slowed down her internet service.

I have Time Warner and find them better than Verizon was; fewer, if any, outages, and more flexible scheduling if there is a problem. Verizon only seemed to be available during M-F, ( to 5.

I got a new Panasonic cordless phone system with the new DECT 6.0 technology. NO more static! I can walk past the microwave, even into the hallway and there is no buzzing or static like I had with my previous phone. What a nice change.

I was also given a Panasonic DVD recorder as a re-gift after a friend upgraded his TV and the DVD recorder was not compatible. Haven't actually recorded anything yet but one of these days I will transfer stuff I've been saving on my DVR to a DVD. I'll close now as this post has too many acronyms.
