I bought my 576 sq ft house a "portable" (not really) washer. I don't recommend it, as the connections tend to leak, it unbalances easily, and you have to build it a dolly to move it. Do not buy a washer/dryer all-in-one. The dryer function does not work. Move the sink and get the stackable you want. If the dryer connection is an issue, consider a retractable clothesline on the porch. I have done well for years without a dryer.

Like your idea for the door. Leave the steps. /agree veslabeachgirl on river stone, too abrupt, needs to be something bigger that matches the steps better. Maybe paint part of the garage door to match the front door. Get a mailbox that matches, or paint the one you have. Big midcentury house numbers. And Lisa is right on the landscaping. Plants would be a big help. Check out mod planters.

Check your local laws.

In some areas, anything that is physically attached to the property (screwed in shelves, light fixtures, hardware, etc.) becomes the landlord's property.

/agree, definitely, professional dry cleaning would be worth it.

It might be possible to remove (only) the cushion covers for better cleaning, and replace the cushions themselves.

If the fading is due to physical wear rather than dirt, those parts of the fabric are lost.

You might be able to salvage some less-worn sections from the cushions, cut them into the geometric shapes as the original fabric's pattern, and inset or applique them onto a matching solid. It would depend what you find. Or you could just do stripes if ypu had enough unworn original fabric to look good.
