The tree wall decal has been in the Land of Nod catalogs. I bought two of the tree wall decals from the Land of Nod outlet for one of my daughter's room, to make a giant tree, and to have left over leaves, birds, etc. because I think that it is fun to change the tree a bit with the change in seasons.

Wish I would have seen your place before I asked my question about redoing floors. Try to make a long story short here, I'm not sure if we have oak floors or not, but our house dates back to the 1920s so I'm thinking that in the rooms original to the house, we probably do. I read about a triple bleaching process to lighten up oak floors, but its not a DIY and I've been told that it could also hurt the duribility of the floors. I love your light floors (and many other things about your house) and was hoping you could explain to me in a bit more detail what you did to your floors since you did it yourself. Thanks.

Thanks for the responses. I, too, had figured that this was not a DIY job, and I am not certain whether we even have oak floors and whether all the floors would be original to the house. In fact, I know that in the rooms that were added on in the 1990s wouldn't have floors dating back to the 1920s. We seem to have about 3 or 4 different colors of wood floors in our house and I guess I thought that maybe doing this process would even them all out and make them all look alike without having the expense of actually replacing our floors.

If we do replace our floors, I would prefer to go bamboo. Anyone have any experience with bamboo floors? The only thing that I have heard that we would want to go to an expert and bamboo floors can be expensive because the cheap stuff doesn't last or scuffs easily or something.
