Phrased "when to jump the shark" - when something is overused. And I'm not denying letters, frames, deer - have not been overused in home decor. But what I'm saying is - that's not what this tutorial is really about. It's more about the process of making something with plaster.

The question you guys are talking about is when something is overused and you've seen it to much and when it's time to ditch something in your own space or not.

If I can chime in here. What's all this talk about trends? Letters still have a place in interiors if used in the right places - like a children's room. Why be so hung up on trends? If you you know Arounna who made these, you will know that she's on the "bleeding edge" of design, way past trends and way beyond many. And then you'll also know she has two children with names starting with L and P - which means alot (so I don't think she was sticking letters to the wall for the sake of doing it) and this tutorial is a great idea to make for their rooms, or take it further and create a different shape. It's just an idea, to teach how to make something out of plaster. Make something else, doesn't have to be letters. That's not what this is about. Look beyond trends people!
