Aha! Good one. Those packages give me hives.

That is fantastic. It would have been a perfect use for the very cool (painted & restored vintage) changing table I gave away. Except, I wouldn't want all those exposed glasses & bottles around my preschooler and toddler...

I was just looking at it in dismay last night. A large basket of fruit/veggies...a banana stand (unused because the junk keeps knocking it over)...a wicker picnic basket containing my daughters' tea set...a Fiesta butter dish bottom pining away for a top...misc noisy toys that are in "timeout"...all three of our insulated lunch bags (is there *ever* a good/convenient place for these without a pantry?)...an envelope of name stickers to label school items...

And this is all in the 6" of space between the fridge and cabinet above it. I hate clutter so I get a twitch every time I walk by it.

I could be the freak minority but I want to hide the actual devices away, as well. I dislike the look of those scattered around as much as the wires. Something cabinet-like (even art-like?) that mounts right over the outlet to hide it, and accomodates the strip and cords and devices all inside, managed so they don't get tangled up. Still searching!

Jaime, that does look like a problem this type of fabric would have (attracting pet hair, lint etc.). I keep stubbornly buying textured cotton slipcovers of various types every two years or so, and I like them OK despite the hassles...but if I did the math I'm sure I could have purchased new sofas by now!

It is nice enough, but like John H, I have seen far too many trough sink/wall faucet setups lately and I cannot wrap my head around this trend. I would quickly tire of cleaning both a square-cornered sink, and the wall paint around the faucets that will inevitably get splashed, dirty, and/or soapy. To me this looks like a public restroom...the heat register and exposed plumbing increase that sensation. The color, lighting, shapes and materials just feel cold to me.

Not crazy about any of these as bath colors, but the Strudel is pretty enough and warm.

My favorite bathroom was an indescribable, muted pumpkin orange, with gold and pale turquoise accents. It sounds bizarre, but was so relaxing and flattering.

Right now I'm contending with a bright-white rental bath. I am surrendering to mostly white, but putting in quite a bit of grayed aqua, and bits of silver and cobalt blue, without really thinking about it. So I guess those are my current favorite bath colors.

I am breathless. This house is the happiest, most gorgeous but playful space. I was already drooling, and then halfway through the slideshow FELL OFF MY CHAIR when I realized this home is on the beach as well. Something like this is my lifelong dream. Thank you for sharing the photos!
