How about paving your backyard with sealed, stamped concrete? The sealer would keep the smell from sinking in, and the pavement would make it easier to pick up the poo. I recently commissioned a shop owner on Etsy.com (the alchemy feature) to create a quilt out of the fabrics I chose. It's not done yet, but from the updates I've gotten, it's going to be stunning!
