I really liked your place. My first thought when I saw your picture and the bird perched on your finger was, "Hey, make a nest for that birdie in your beard!"

I try to always find something to compliment but honestly, this kitchen gives me the creeps. It just looks dingy, cluttered and not clean. At least clean it before taking pictures.

A little too stark for my taste but I like how you gave the TV a fireplace feel.
Nice design overall.

This reminds me of a second grade classroom my daughter was in; all the kids had square paper cubicle things on the desks. It felt like a work camp and was so stifling. We can't be creative in confined spaces, we need our minds to BREATHE.

That green was draining the life out of the room. GREAT JOB! Love the redo.

I think there should be a rule that anyone who posts, "I liked it better before" has to also post a link to a project THEY did to improve something. Seriously, it takes some guts to put yourself out there. You can like something better before but at least acknowledge that people are making an effort. Sheesh.

Explain the drop leaf desk/secretary to me; is it built in? I love what you've done with the place, but even more, what you haven't. It's not even less is more; your restraint is stunning.

Message center with a white board and calendar or a charging station (can you drill a hole into the garage side?) Or a landing strip.
Either way, wallpaper the insides.

I love this idea and to help minimize the mess, they make foil muffin tins. Regular lasagne is just so, square.

This is disturbing on so many levels. That the party parents lost your kid. That they didn't tell you and you didn't know he was lost. That the solution is a tot tattoo. Kudos to the kid for keeping his cool. I wish I could be so understanding.

I had a faux brick wall in my kitchen in my first house. It was kinda cool, looking back and that was in the 80's'......man, I'm old!

Great styling, very comfortable. But I don't see any of Shannon in here.....it feels very masculine. That's a lot of paring down!

I also would like to hear ideas for how to hide ugly tile in a rental kitchen where you CAN NOT paint or remove the tile. Maybe bead board? Thanks!

I finally get it.
Up until now, I thought home decor was like a puzzle; now I see, it's like a poem, a beautiful painting, a piece of art. How does one even START to see the world like this? I am in awe.
