If you have a long closing date, do another walkthrough or inspection the day before you close. Our sellers completely trashed the house and the gardens, broke windows and doors and stole fixtures and we didn't see it until after we closed. I also blame the lawyer and realtor who all said, oh we have our money, you're closed... Too bad.

I have a ban on food, any drink that isn't water, nail polish and nail polish remover after a sad incident with brand new 500 thread count sheets, and any work-related technology.

TV is a must for me because I treasure my lazy Sunday mornings watching movies in bed.

I once worked with a woman who banned farting from the bedroom. Her husband had to run out of the room anytime he needed to do the deed. She never admitted to farting herself... ;)

Oh, don't do it, please don't do it. My last house had giant mirrored walls EVERYWHERE... the L-shaped living room had more mirrors than walls. They reflected off each other so you could watch yourself in multiples.

I contacted glass companies, contractors, everyone and no one would take them down for me because it was too dangerous.

Be sure you really, really, really want to see yourself that much before you do it.

(Though, I do kind of miss being able to lie in bed and watch tv off the mirrors from whichever sleeping position I was in... :) )
